Morey thinking big again.... Will try to sell on taxes to offset salary for both. Morey doesn't believe CP's heart is in LA. He knows LAC dont have a GREAT future. This is a long shot, but Morey knows he has to go big and all in for JH.

He will find a way to get it done. He knows he can trade Lou+Ariza easily with their expiring reasonable deals.

Like I said, big dreams, not impossible.

Certainly feels like a pipe dream, but f**k it, may as well try.

The Warriors have reduced the rest of the league to desperate flailing in an effort to compete.

Morey is always about dreaming big. I can't fault him for that but the execution and overall picture is another story.

Thanks for the news; but, how - - how could he pull off either let alone both? Where is JH13's head in all this?

If CP3 wants outta LAC then why not an SnT with Kyrie? (+ Love/SnT Blake???)

    Gallo being a D'Antonian, I could buy.

Is it 2nd week in July yet?

That's all great, but I hope this isn't the "up my sleeve" thing.

Not unless the players in question let it be known through the underground grapevine that such a plan, if cap room were cleared, is even do-able.

I commend CP for being as patient as he was with the Clippers. They were on the right track.......

In the West I also see Spurs and Rockets in the mix but there should be Eastern teams trying luring CP3.

Hey with a team like GSW in the league we have to take swing past the fences to even get close...

if they both took slight paycuts (CP3 from 35 to 30 mil/yr and Hayward from 30 to 25 mil/yr), then by getting rid of Ryno, Ariza, Ego, and Bev he'll be able to afford them

that's a lot of depth you're getting rid of tho

CP3, Hayward, and Harden is a formidable core...then you'd still have Clint at C and Lou could be our 6th man in place of Ego

you still also have Sam and Harrell off the bench as well, and I'm sure Nene could be brought back with an exception and we could sign some vets looking to up their value in D'antoni's system and play for a possible contender to 1 year vet minimums...we'd need a starting PF tho

    CP3/Lou
    Harden
    Hayward/Sam
    ?/Harrell
    Clint/Nene

Cyberx, thank you for the info, but I think it's a pipe dream. I think we're running with the same squad we have plus draft picks.

I think they'd have to be on board with major pay cuts to make it work in any conceivable way.

This seems about as likely as my teenaged Brittney Spears dreams.

If we somehow got CP3 (I don't see it) would that be enough to get PG to consider Houston?
