For the foreseeable future when sports shows talk baseball..... Q- "best team in baseball?" A- "(insert team not named Astros)"
Wouldn't mind trading Gattis either. Dude doesn't have the kind of catcher's IQ you need to be a real contender. He could probably be a decent DH for another ballclub.
I don't think McHugh is enough to solve this rotation's issues and he shouldn't be seen as THE answer. He might not be that good himself coming off a dead arm issue. This rotation needs two more solid SPs minimum.
Well with our bats this series, I think i should not waste the rest of my Sunday afternoon. Dont think we have a comeback in us today. Bring on the Tigers! Cleveland fans with Bron destroying the East and now their Tribe sweeping us on the road, must feel pretty good. Barf.
Yea it for sure got worse after you turned it off. Umps zone was all over the place. Likely wanted to go home. Man was giving Miller strikes that were clearly balls. It was frustrating as hell to watch.
Maybe not but I think it's fair to expect him to be solid. Probably not Keuchel solid but a 4th or 5th member of a good rotation is within reason. If he provides that the Astros could add 1 more pitcher and be very well off.
I can't seem to process the fact that Mike Fiers was the Astros' best starting pitcher in this series.
And a run it cost us. Looked like he was already slowing down into 3rd before the ball reached the relay man, if he was sprinting I think he scores easily. Stop sign there cost us a run, likely need them considering the score.
