Trying to figure out where the Rockets go from here. Do they trade Howard. Perhaps they match Parsons on the deal. I hear Chris Bosh is available, would love to see him in Rocket Red. I can't wait until LeBron is a free-agent again so we can wooo him over. Of course there's always Aldridge and Carmelo. One of them has GOT TO come to the Rocket's.

One things for certain, we have got to get rid of McHale! I'm thinking Phil Jackson

Why would you want Lowry if you get rid of Bev? Both are essentially the same type of player, Lowry may be better but he costs more and is just as if not more injury prone than Bev.

I think a great offseason plan is just dump Anderson and maybe Lou (hasnt really impressed but he is decent for the salary) and just get another PF...ibaka, griffin, millsap whoever would be an upgrade over Anderson at this point. Look st the Spurs right now, they are a mess without Kawhi and Parker. If the rox didn't have Anderson building a palace of bricks every game and actually had someone who is worth 18M maybe they extend the series and eventually beat the Spurs.

Anderson is not worth 20M a year wtf. He is worth 7M a year, the market and the rox obviously overvalued his worth...perhaps they thought he would be better in a system that can get him open almost all the time like in the Rox.

What everyone didn't know was Anderson's super fast release meant he was as open as he'll ever be in any system, so even if he moved to MDA offense that is supposed to highlight his strengths he still performed at the same mediocre level as he did in NOP. There's a reason NOP weren't sad to see him go. Unfortunately he is signed for the rest of Harden's window, it'll be hard to get anything done unless we unload this chump.

A few thoughts on this Thursday afternoon:

    1) I dont think we're going to be a player in free agency. Why would Heyward choose us over Boston and I'm not sure Griffin over Anderson makes this team better. The rest of the stars are PGs, which don't make any sense given the makeup of this roster.

    2) Heyward is Boston bound. Why wouldn't he choose them? The only advantage Utah has is one year and 8% raises vs. 5% raises. Otherwise, Boston has pretty much everything else. Which leads me to....

    3) I don't think Boston is going to be a player for George/Butler. Heyward will costs them nothing more than cap space and they get to keep their pick vs trading for a player on a 1 or 2 year deal.

    4) We can be a player for George. He's on a one year deal, there's the rumors of Lakers-or-bust and he didn't qualify for the super-max (and likely won't next year). I'm not saying we're the favorites, but if LAL won't deal and we can get close, it could happen.

At this point i think a dream scenario for us would be pick up Millsap in free agency and than trade for George if Boston gets Hayward and if it's not true that he wants to be in L.A.

Hoping & praying aside, how are they "players" or "in the mix" for George?

Clint Capela? Great white hope Sam Dekker? 2020 1st round pick?

Um... what? Hey, I'd understand if you said Blake is always injured in the playoffs. That's true. But it's crazy to think Blake wouldn't make the Rockets better in place of Anderson. Ryan Anderson might as well have been injured in the playoffs. He shot 28% (!!) from three. He had a playoff PER of 8.6.

How on earth would we be able to get close? You mean just sign him outright in FA? Maybe, you never know, the NBA landscape after GSW/Cavs changes every year. But that's 12+ months away.

If he wants to be in L.A we have no chance and that's it, but personally, fwiw, i don't think that makes too much sense unless he literally doesn't give a **** about winning, and if he doesn't care we shouldn't care for him in the first place so...the only chance is if it's not true that he wants to be in L.A. and if he's good coming here, at this point he should be able to force his destination a bit.

Not sure about what we can offer, i guess unprotected picks, young players (we have no studs obviously, but we do have a couple of interesting guys)...we have also solid veterans with good contracts if they have no interest in tanking for a full rebuild...

On paper we have little to no chance, but between contending enviroments with a need to add a Paul George, how many teams have better assets aside for Boston?

And just look at Cousins..."Lakers here, Boston there" etc...and he ended up in NO...nobody expected that. I think we just need him to be willing to come here (which is probably the hardest part) and i think we can make it happen somehow...or at least that's what i like to think.

    Now you're talkin'!

J.R., I was thinking George was not a possibility, but you have now raised the lantern of hope, like our own Statue of Liberty, overlooking the flotsam floating past in Buffalo Bayou Park.
