Rivalries are always fun but this one has a bit of extra spice to it. It's been over 20 years since our last meeting with SA in the playoffs but the Spurs are a proud organization and you know they will be looking for vengeance for what Olajuwon and the Rockets did to D-Rob back in 1995, Kawhi will want to prove he's the real MVP and not Harden. We just have to hope our team is ready to defend the 5 points known as Texas.

 

Yeah. I got some resale tickets for less than market yesterday, but the fees were exorbitant. Still though, first rockets playoff game for me!

pop lied for his player and kawhi knows. I guarantee you that pop does not truly believe that kawhi is better than lebron and everyone else in the NBA.

lucky for spurs fans kawhi isn't the type of dude who gets fazed by distractions. he is mentally strong as hell but.....

he knows he's not the best player in the nba. You could tell by his response that he was kind of embarassed by pop saying that. Dantoni didn't get into all that when he was asked about the mvp race junk.

Ariza and Bzdelik gotta look at each other and be like "let's make this dude go left. he gets taken out of his game completely when you force him left"

 

Well, last game Harden was literally dominating, but in the third quarter, as soon as Pop went with Kawhi on Harden, he basically stopped playing, he had like 3 very bad turnovers in like two minutes, he had no baskets for the rest of the quarter and the Spurs went on a 10-0 kind of run...it was actually quite effective, and while it looked like more a mental blackout by James (in fact i don't think he even tried to attack directly Kawhi), was definitely caused by Leonard guarding him.

 

Ha, I wish! I'd love to go to a game with DD.

 

I'm guessing this will open with the Spurs -4 or so.
