I pretty much gave up on the MVP positivity when I saw numerous analyst say if Westbrook would have averaged 9.9 assists or rebounds, they'd vote for Harden.

I lost faith in the voting system there.

    You guys are fighting inevitability.

WB will win this and once the official results are in, it wont even be that close.

Just move on and save yourselves from misery.

Im already over it. MVP losses don't sting. it's more like an "oh well forget those guys" kind of reaction.

Playoff losses sting and emotionally hurt you. That's the kind of pain to keep you up at night.

I've already moved on and I'm thinking about the playoffs now. Way more important

They sting because you wonder when will Harden and the Rockets be in this position again? How many magical seasons can you have?

Next year. I think he can string together 2-3 years until he hits a bump in the road. Maybe not as historic but good enough for MVP talk.

Depending on who we sign next and how many shots fall the team will be ok.

If Harden is in the MVP conversation next year I hope he gives the middle finger to the Media. Choose the nuclear option. Tell them to take their award and shove it up their ass.

Don't remember where I saw this, but I think Tim MacMahon has a vote that's going to Westbrook and he has Harden 2nd.

now I'm a little worried that Eric and Mike 'Mustacheless' D'antoni also won't win 6th man and COY

If the NBA hadn't established the winning standard over its past 40+ years, it would be fine to vote Westbrook. But when you take a step back and realize that Harden had the better stats 2yrs ago and lost to Curry because of that very standard which is now being tossed aside to take the award away from him, it just screams double standard by the media.

They just don't like Harden, period. It probably has to do with his style of play, but honestly even that bias represents another unethical dimension to their reasoning. Just because I don't like Shaq's style of play--the beep-beep 18wheeler backing into the paint--further reinforced by the fact that the NBA basically officiated it out of the league once he retired, does NOT mean that I don't acknowledge how dominant a force he was when he played. Right now by making Harden a permanent bridesmaid for opposite reasons, it just reflects really poorly on each and every one of them. ESPN is fake news.
