Edy Tavares looks like a pretty solid rim protector. Heard the Cavs were inking him to a multi-year deal?
For what we wanted him for, he was definitely serviceable. I watched every minute he played for the Cavs, which weren't many. His main issue was getting fouls drawn against him quickly. He definitely made people alter their shots at the rim though.
I do not understand this. Cleveland is in the luxury tax. They know they're lacking defensively. And they're still scrambling to get better, signing Bogut, then Sanders, now Tavares. Because they know they're not good enough. It's obvious our interior defense is bad, even worse than the Cavs. We've got $3 million of cap space. But we ain't going after anybody. I don't get it. We need a big in the worst way. And.....nothing.
Sanders played 52 minutes. Made $208,000. Got in better shape in the process of doing it. Not bad work.
LOL Hopefully this is the final nail on his carreer so I don't have to see his ugly face ever again on a NBA court.
I'm sure he'd be fine with more reps over a longer period of time. He needs to fully dedicate himself this summer to show everyone he truly wants to be back. I'd lean more toward him being a positive on the court in the future if he works for it. I just think as fans, we tend to gravitate toward wanting players for what they've accomplished in the past. If you're out of the game a while, it's incredibly hard to just show up and expect to be productive. These guys as a whole, work their proverbial asses off just to survive in the league.
I honestly had no idea, I knew he signed but since then never heard a peep about him. Crazy how neither Bogut or Sanders didnt work out for them, I feel bad.................... ^.^
If they actually played [insert scrub you want to pick up here] i'd be pissed. Nobody we pick up right now is going to be the difference between winning and losing. And I don't care if you have a 1 in a million example.
Nonsense. Josh Smith Chris Kaman Ryan Hollins Greg Stiemsma Mitch McGary Jared Sullinger Jason Thompson Keith Benson Eric Moreland Tyler Hansbrough These guys either have been available or are still available right now and every one of them is substantially better defensively and on the glass than Harrell is. We've been $3 million under the cap since the trade deadline and after failing on Bogut we haven't looked to sign a big. You can pretend there's nobody out there but it's simply not true.
