We have nothing to be worried about because OKC is just as turnover prone and defense less as we are.

He is right, we are a small ball short team - with some holes in the roster...we are hard to prepare for during the regular season, but when teams can lock in on us, we are not that difficult to defend.

First off, Kenny is smart, I'm sure you're white with these adolescent, vindictive insults.

Secondly, okc has gotten better and it will be a tough out even worse if russ figures out team play while going super saiyan.

    Depends on Harden.

    His nonchalant demeanor backfires sometimes.
    Agreed.

I'll still be watching and hopeful, but I my expectations are low for the playoffs and I was someone who knew the team would be a lot better than the predictions this year.

He said the same thing about the Celtics. Boston might have the number one seat and the number one pick. That should scare a lot of people.

Chuck goes on gut instinct, the same gut instinct that got him zero championships and a career of putting his foot in his mouth. I respect him, but I wouldn't follow anything he says.

Well he's right. We're not playing like the team we were midseason when we won 24 out of 27 or something ridiculous like that. We're 12-8 in our last 20 games and have given up 112ppg in that stretch. Our defense went from decent to below average and our point differential is only +3 in that stretch. That's decent, but not scary.

If you want teams to be scared of you, you had better be dominant. I mean, do you guys think Boston is scared of Cleveland the way they're playing right now? Why should they be scared? Why should teams be scared of us? We regularly blow big leads. That gives opponents confidence, not fear.

Kenny might be smart, but he makes a lot of dumb statements. He says a lot of stuff which he just sounds very smug about, but a lot of his along with Shaq & Barkley's comments are just plain stupid. The truth is, Shaq and Kenny really believe what they think makes sense, but Barkley just says things to say them.

    Geez guys...

The 2016-17 Houston Rockets have one of the 10 best offences in NBA history. Should I repeat that? THEY HAVE ONE OF THE BEST OFFENCES IN NBA HISTORY!!! (https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-case-for-james-harden-mvp/)

You guys think that doesn't scare opponents just a little bit? You don't think that doesn't give OKC a slight pause? You think that's "not that difficult to defend"?

I will be shocked if the Rockets don't finish off OKC in 5 or 6 games. A sweep wouldn't surprise me in the least.

    For OKC in particular:
When Roberson is on the floor, he's a great defender and can challenge Harden. Great, well when he's on the floor OKC is playing 4 against 5 on offence where HOU can have an extra guy clog the lane on Westbrook while alternating between throwing Beverley and Ariza on him. That extra guy can also help rebound. They won't be able to score. When Roberson is off the floor nobody can stay with Harden. It's going to be bombs away. I'm so excited for this series.

    For the Spurs/Warriors:
Houston is the last team out of the rest of the field they want to face, and not just because they're the highest seed of that 3-8 group. They know Houston is the one team with the willingness to up the variance in the series by shooting 50+ 3's a game and the shooters to actually make that a viable strategy.

This is an excellent analysis. The only question I have is do the Rockets have another gear? Can they turn it on for the playoffs? If not, they likely won't last long. Several players including Gordon seem to be in a shooting slump. Harden isn't particularly hot going in either. If they can flip a switch to nuclear, I like their chances. Otherwise, it is live or die by the three They have no stifling defense; some nights no defense. And they lack size/ rim protection up front. They are basically a "gimmick" team which is kind of a DA trademark.

Hehe. What does this mean. Sounds like you're saying "when teams can defend us, we are not that hard to defend."

It means if you focus on the 3pt line and stick a big in the paint, you can slow us down a lot.

The Rockets should have an easy series against OKC, probably in 6, maybe even in 5. But it'll be tough for them in 2nd round. Harden is basically the offense with majority of the offense initiated by him, so it's not realistic to expect him to have much energy on the defensive end. You can get away with OKC because their SG doesn't do much on offense, but SA is different, Green runs a lot off-ball routes, not sure Harden can keep up with him.

Rockets has a chance against SA, but the odds are against them.

BTW, Chuck kissed the donkey's ass, so anything comes out of him has no credit.

Don't let Barkley take away our hard fought "team nobody wants to play" award - this can't stand.

There are probably also people who also think selling books over the internet is really nothing to get excited about - probably just a fad.

What is "successful?" I mean, if we don't win the title, there will be ppl here who say it's proof that our style of play isn't successful in the playoffs, no matter which round it "fails" in.

We will fail because of our defense moreso than anything on the offensive end. But since we didn't score more than the opponent, it will be the offense that takes the blame. Weird how it works that way.
