I don't think money was a concern, that's how the story left off in Age of Ultron. You think Helmsworth or Ruffalo make anything near RDJ?

Thor had visions during AoU brought on by Scarlet Witch, he went to Asgard to investigate further. Hulk was in a quinjet in stealth mode headed to who knows where? We'll find out in Ragnarok, but my assumption is he somehow got snatched up by Grandmaster and forced to fight as a gladiator somewhere.

would of been kind of silly having hulk battle the likes of hawkeye, black widow, or falcon.

Maybe Marvel would have nerfed him for this one movie.

Here's to hoping they don't awkwardly force Natalie Portman or Kat Dennings into this one!

I love Portman, but those two are the worst parts of the first films.

I hope they don't fight. We've already seen them fight 1-on-1.

I agree, but I'm thinking it's kind of inevitable. Right?

I don't think either are in it, mercifully. Rumor is Natalie Portman isn't a fan of the role (good, no one is a fan of it).

Now that is some perfect casting.

New Thor: Ragnarok Synopsis Reveals Hulk's Role in the Movie

Disney sent out a packet of information on their 2017 line-up to press today, and buried inside was a brand-new synopsis for Thor: Ragnarok, along with a new first look photo. The upcoming film is the third solo movie for the God of Thunder, and will feature the Incredible Hulk and Doctor Strange in some capacity. Well, the new synopsis reveals Hulk's role in the film.

Not only will Hulk be fighting in a gladiator arena a la the Marvel Comics story "Planet Hulk," it sounds like his opponent will be Thor himself. The synopsis reads:

"In Marvel Studios' Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!

"Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi and returns Chris Hemsworth starring as Thor and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki. They are joined by Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban, with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins."

That's also the first time they've really used the "Ragnarok" terminology, explaining that it's the Norse armaggedon myth.

I really hope the movie has the feel of that trailer because that looks incredibly fun.

I gotta say, few trailers get me psyched anymore, given how much of the movie they ruin, and how they're spliced for this ADD generation; but this looks really good. And it didn't even include shots of a character whose participation, even if it amounts to just 15 or 20 minutes of screentime, was recounted to us in a recent mid-final-credits Marvel scene (don't know why I'm fake-spoilering it, ya'll know who I mean) and will make the film even more interesting.

I guess it was true when they said the producer was given freedom to create what he wanted. The Thor franchise needed a serious refresh.

Still can't believe what I just saw.

The Thor series should thank it's lucky stars that it's part of the MCU, because his 2 solo movies have been pretty mediocre.

Now that they have Hulk, Loki, and Dr. Strange, hopefully they can put forth a good one.
