If the rockets win it all, will Bev look right in the camera and say "This one's for you Russ" and then wink.

Westbrook would spontaneously combust after that right? Like on the spot?

Westbrook is not known for his stellar defense.

Avery is 6'2" and has never had a better year that Beverley. Bev's career is higher than Avery. Bev is statistical the better Rebounder by far. Why are you bringing up Avery.

Only this year Avery getting more per game, but not by much...and he currently doesn't even qualify for the leaderboard. He has 4 more mpg to lead Bev this year. They are tied on per 36. Bev might actually catch him on RPG by the end of the season

He's in my list. I guess it rounded up to 6.7.

Well, I posed it as a question. Only the first chart is per 36. The second two are RPG....and the 50 year one includes past 6'2 players. And we are comparing probably over 1.,000 combined player years...and no one has a higher per 36 year...pretty damn impressive.

For RPG: How about #2 year over the last 45 years. Only Rondo beats him in 45 years.

No one hates per 36 more than me. But those guys in the '50 and '60s were getting 10 more mpg than Beverley and most Rondo years. When the comparison is between players spanning decades, then I sometimes use it, just to put that >40 mpg ppl into perspective. Bev is getting 30 mpg. It's a legit multi-decade comparison in my opinion. It's almost like how you can't compare Strikeouts or Shutouts anymore in baseball. Pitchers aren't allowed to go over 100 pitches anymore, like NBA players aren't allowed to play 40mpg anymore.

    fair enough.

Fat Lever is 10.1 TRB% for his career and 13.6% at his peak. He's listed at 6'3" so wasn't on the initial list.

Man, the font and background colors makes that unreadable in Clutchfans Dark Theme. thx though. That's pretty cool.

However, I don't think TRB% is a stat that can be run very far back into history. Doesn't it require more complete boxscores than bbref does not have back to the 50s?

Yeah but in the second table it specifically includes 6'2 players such as Jerry West.

Avery Bradley doesn't currently qualify for the rebounding leaderboard, so bbref filtered him out of the results....not me.

fwiw: Even if Bradley did qualify, Bev is still beating him this year in per36

It goes back to 1970-71 when they started tracking team rebounds.
