Probably a million threads on this, so feel free to lock or merge. He's having a monster year, yes... but something he's always lacked IMO is the killer instinct. To put the foot on the gas when we need him most (coming from behind or in need of a go-ahead bucket for instance). It seems as though he's always shying away from these situations and passing the ball away even when there's no double. He seems to be missing the 'clutch gene' in close games or in games with adversity. He brilliantly excels in games where we're playing well... which is good. But come playoff time, we'll need a more killer instinct.
Meaning he had a killer instinct in 2014-2015? Or meaning there's a million threads on this already from 2014-2015? lol
Complacent all game. He's either scared of george or still in All star break mode. Wake the **** up dude.
Harden gets happy feet too early in the game and loses his edge. I knew the Rockets were going to give up the entire lead when it was 18-2 because the other players started following his lead. The lack of focus was alarming. Lou Williams is a great addition to the team but Harden better screw his head back on and give up the idea he doesn't have to focus as much or play as hard.
Harden's just too passive sometimes to a fault. He said so himself in a recent interview with Stephen A Smith but he says if he ever reaches finals again, he'll be aggressive every game. It's a big IF though.
He was really pounding the front of the rim into submission tonight. We should trade him for Corey Brewer.
"Sure, the entire team shooting 36% and getting out-rebounded by 15 isn't ideal, but the biggest problem plaguing this team is Harden's killer instinct" Are we on First Take?
