The way the Cave have been playing they aren't a lock to make it. Neither are the Warriors. Anything can happen & I have faith the Rockets can win the whole thing! With or without Bogut.
Cavs could be favs cause if he signs along with Deron. It's easier but not essential when heading to a new team with someone you know. Use the extra roster spot to sign Brad Newley as the 15th man/waterboy?
Bogut, to me, is about matching up with Memphis, Utah and San Antonio. If Bogut gives us a better chance of making the conference finals, he's worth it....even if he doesnt give us a single minute vs Golden State (which is when we will really need Harrell and Capela). I've gone back and forth on this, but if the front office thinks he can play, he fills a very real need for us.

This could also explain the Watkins tweet. It did seem like the report of the buyout was made official not long after he reported Rockets had no interest. Might have leaked that to help Bogut get more money from Sixers.
Doesn't matter. If he was about money, then he wouldn't have taken a buyout from the Sixers. He would've played the full season there and get ALL of his money.
