Fisher and Kobe always had dominate big guys to bail them out. For the 2017 Rockets to win a championship it will mean our small dudes bailed our big men out because our big dudes are not very good right now.
Everything is liquid right now, dork. If Bev is traded it will be a big deal for a superstar. Yule C was specifically about Noel. We pushed and pushed again and may push again today. Others? We are looking for a starting center. Not a back up center. But a starter. And we'd really like a certain starter. And both Capela and Bev could go to make that deal happen.
When Beverly gets into the open market, Morey will not be able to match other team's offers. Bev's next paycheck is Chandler Parson and Jeremy Lin territory, some team will pay him dearly. KJ gets paid more than Bev. Whoever leaked that Cavs and Knicks are interested for Bev just jacked up his salary. I love to keep the Rockets to keep everyone for this 1 of a kind season, but his agent is no BJ Armstrong. If price is right, with the right pieces, Bev needs to go to a place in the Eastern Conference, or we lose him for nothing.
They were not looking. I'm glad you made the connection that if Lebron was being offered, they wouldn't say no. However, that does not qualify as looking. Blatantly wrong, again. Shocking.
No they aren't. They pushed back hard against inquiries on Bev. Of course they'd move him if an awesome deal presented itself, but they were absolutely not shopping Bev.
Huh? That's like saying Lebron always had another star to bail him out for disappearing in a elimination game (Kryie, Ray Allen, Wade). In fact, every championship team Lebron's been on has had more talent than that Laker's team with Gasol. Gasol isn't even the same caliber of any of the big 3..but whatever you think
We are willing to trade Bev for a whole list of players not a good as LeBron. And it ciuld happen today.
We have been shopping Bev for literally MONTHS. You don't know what you're talking about. Just because we won't move him for Shump does not mean we won't move him for a serious upgrade at the 5, or even the 3. We would. The reason why these teams are knocking on us about Vev is because we've been talking trade about him with practically everybody in the league, assessing his trade value, and mining data for today (and this summer) for literally months.
Your're complicating things. It's actually much simpler than that. If Bev is traded, he will say "Harden didn't want Bev here because Bev was demanding too much of the ball and Harden didn't want to share". remember why marcus Thornton is no longer here? Because Harden was jealous of Thornton putting up shots if Bev is not rtraded, it'll be "Harden is too close to Bev and doesn't want him going anywhere"
So....Bev might be traded for a superstar? They'd include a role player for a superstar in a big deal if need be? C'mon man. That's common sense. That's not "actively shopping Bev hard"
Bev has been shopped hard for months. Go ahead and keep parsing the language to suit your narrative instead of taking about actualities to becoming a championship team though.
....what? You just said "if Bev is traded it'll be in a big deal for a superstar", to which I said, "of course. That is common sense". Everybody and their mother knows Morey is trying to acquire another star. Common knowledge. I guess I just don't find "trying to trade for a superstar" as any sort of remarkable insight. Nobody thinks Bev is untradable for a star, just not for some scrub like Iman Shumpert who was actually named in a rumor.
He said could lol. It's like making a prediction and that usage of "could" allows an excuse why the prediction didn't occur. Coward predictions, but smart regardless
As someone who subscribes to holic's newsletter, this makes NO SENSE AT ALL! 1) Rockets have been trying hard for months to deal Bev 2) Canaan is for real! Per holic, the Sixers restricted his minutes because he was too good and would give them too many wins. So I'm just really distraught over this news. I eagerly await his next newsletter where he describes how this could have possibly happened
