I would cream so hard for Favors on this team, doubt we have the assets/jazz willing to trade him to a rival. Lets go Bogut/Amir/Faried/T.Chandler/Gibson
Those guys would all be nice, 1. Gortat (unlikely) 2. Young 3. W. Chandler 4. Faried 5. Favors is my top 5
People have been continuously shunning me and laughing. The rockets are looking to move ARIZA and KJ.... bargain and expiring... also nene, and ennis, and Whitler + our 2nd. I have been preaching this. And singing to deaf ears. Rockets are going to move Ariza for Chandler. It's happening. Trust me.
To me this screams! Tyson chandler Kj/ennis/nene is shy by about 300k to make salaries work. You could add nunu and it passes but leaves us thin. We only run a 8-9 man rotation anyways. We could sign street guys. Also screams koufos. Which would work with jus kj/nene
At this point any deal the Rockets make should be aimed at improving the defense. They've stated repeatedly they know it needs to be upgraded. It's an issue. Wilson Chandler is a better player than Ariza, but he's a worse defender. This is a tight rope Morey has to walk. How do you upgrade without destroying the chemistry this team has together.
Ok, with me, but not at the expense of Nene. There isn't all that much of a difference between the 2, to justify that IMO. Honestly, I'm not too keen on Tyson. I wouldn't give up Harrell or Dekker for him, or even Capela.
We traded for Brewer and added Josh Smith. In the summer we consolidated our assets for Ty Lawson, it just didn't work out. Our plans never seem to be about standing pat, but constantly looking for upgrades and that next superstar. "Kicking the can" and all that.
I trimmed that list down. I took out the guards and the players who just got traded and the players who don't make any sense. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Tyson Chandler John Henson Kenneth Faried Thad Young Marcin Gortat Amir Johnson Nikola Vucevic Wilson Chandler Andrew Bogut Jon Leuer Jared Dudley Trevor Booker
True. Bev is the spine that keeps all these other soft, fleshy players from melting into a puddle of offense.
Another thing to keep in mind here. It could be that the Rockets are shopping for this mystical player on behalf of another team they already have a deal in place for and the other team is looking to merge assets with some or all of our assets to get a contract they want that's better than just the two-team deal they've agreed to. This is typically how Morey operates. Get trade agreed to, leak it or at least leak some portion of it, look for other trade partners to make it an even better deal for everybody concerned. Remember, we could trade KJ and Ennis for a $7.5 million player, and that team could trade that $7.5 million player asking another small contract for a player making $10-12 million.
