I really hope this doesn't feel like a movie where they are forcing an R rating that doesn't belong. There's a way to do the movie right as an R movie, but if they are just throwing in some random F bombs to get the rating up, it'll be pretty weak.
Better than the first trailer for me, although this has nothing to do with the actual Old Man Logan story. Which is fine, of course, but just wanted to put that out there.
Yeah but we knew they couldn't do the real Old Man Logan story, they don't have the rights for anywhere near the characters they'd have to have to even attempt the real story.
I would say the trailer touches on one key aspect of the OML story: Spoiler It shows Logan getting the crap beat out of him, something you see in the comic because he has sworn off violence. . I have a pet theory that since Fox can't use the Hulk for the story, they substituted the Reavers.
Memo to studios: the trailer should NOT be the time where you finally have to figure out the movie's plot.
I'm in, but this trailer told an entirely different story than the first trailer which I thought was really good. It will probably be cool, but also looks like your typical father rescue daughter story.
Good early reviews but some are saying it comes close to bordering on TOO dark like SvB but just manages to hold out from crossing the line
"since the Dark Knight" .. DAMN http://www.forbes.com/sites/markhug...-to-get-best-picture-nomination/#1b585446428a Review: 'Logan' Could Be First Superhero Movie To Get Best Picture Nomination Logan is the first superhero movie since The Dark Knight to have a strong chance of being considered among the contenders for Best Picture come Oscar time in early-2018. It could hypothetically also be considered a contender for some other awards, including Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, too. We've had many great superhero movies over the years, but it takes a certain type and tone, a certain quality, a certain combination of factors -- including directing, acting, scripting, and so on -- to really be a serious contender. We've only had a very few that ever seemed to have a serious chance, and Logan joins those ranks because it's one of the best of the best.
97% on Rotten Tomatoes is kind of hard to dismiss. Ultimately it may not be that good, but very few movies with that high a number aren't pretty damn good.
so with this being jackman's last wolverine role, will that mean wolverine will get killed off this movie? or will they replace him with someone else?
