    M. Night Shyamalan is practically dead to me. I used to love his movies and I haven't seen any of his last several. But I loved his first few, including Unbreakable (though I know many who didn't like it). I loved how it was a comic book movie and you didn't even know it.

Apparently he wants to do a sequel next.

Without saying anything else, go see Split.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll need to see Split.

(Yeah, I did avoid the spoilers in the article)

    Why. Just why?
I have yet to see split. So maybe that movie really is the redemption movie for him. But other wise who would finance this? Split must be a really amazing movie.

I did not like unbreakable. I did love the sixth sense. But m night has so many terrible movies I really have given up on him.

I didn't care for Unbreakable either.....

I've seen Split, great performances but it's a weak movie with some very questionable choices.....

That's a shame. Shamamalion is a trash factory (After Earth) but when I heard about Split and people actually liking it I had a tiny glimmer of hope.

    Just to clarify...

He is talking about a 3rd Unbreakable film. The quote I saw said that Sam Jackson is aware that Shyamalan may want him to reprise "Mr Glass".

Apparently, "Kevin" was in early versions of the Unbreakable script, but Shyamalan thought a 3rd major character was too much to jam in.

I read that some of the core scenes of this film are pulled directly from the early Unbreakable script revisions.

I saw Split the other night. So I'm very aware who was in the last scene. I have read this thread. And I'm still confused.

Liked unbreakable. But not sure where they will go next with it as they hit upon what they needed to hit with the movie. Is there anywhere to go?

I liked "Unbreakable".....until the ending. Maybe "The Sixth Sense" spoiled me; was I waiting for a kick-butt ending to "Unbreakable"? It seemed like a lot of buildup and small payoff. But the buildup? I liked it.

Same thing with "Signs" and the "swing away" ending. And the plot holes (they don't like water, what about the water in our atmosphere? etc).

There's nothing really to it, just the stupid reveal that it's all been occurring in the same universe as Unbreakable, conceivably leading to a confrontation with Willis's character......

If Bruce Willis cannot get hurt and/or die in "Unbreakable", then why does he age? It implies he's going to die of old age. Or, is he just unbreakable until he dies of old age?

Worst superpower ever. You don't die but you keep getting older and older and more feeble and infirm till you end up looking like the Cryptkeeper from Tales from the Crypt and you're too feeble to even sit up in bed. But you still can't die.

Water was David's weakness in Unbreakable.

Does that mean he could drown or he just doesn't like water?

I was wondering if he was just going to live and float around in the pool when he went in if those kids didn't offer him a lifeline...like water is his kryptonite. He's weakened but still living in a pool until someone helps him out.
