New FX series that premiered this past Tuesday. Tom Hardy as the lead, Robb Stark's wife, as well as the High Sparrow rounding out the cast. First episode was extremely intriguing and CREEPY. This might be the darkest role Hardy has played yet, even with his performance in the Drop. Towards the end of the episode, he delivered one of the greatest lines I've seen in television in a long time... If you saw the episode, you know what I'm talking about. Anybody else plan on catching this?
I caught it on DVR and watched it. It's a little distracting seeing all those peeps from GoT but it was indeed intriguing. I think Hardy is a fine actor but he needs to speak up; all his idiosyncrasies are awesome though. I hope the writing picks up a bit. Also Spoiler So, can this guy re-animate the dead, or what?
Saw it last night and thought it was great. Hardy is such a great actor. FYI, this show is best watched with closed captioning on. I find that to be true of a lot of shows it English actors.
Just started it last night. That was an awesome episode. Definitely love Hardy. I've always been a fan of Ridley Scott as well. This mini series really looks promising.
Pretty impressed but yeah I might have to turn on the captions, so much low talking.....have no issue with the accents.....
Hardy is such a damn good actor. He's awesome in Peaky Blinders. He's becoming one of my favorite actors. I've been waiting for Taboo since late last year when the previews were aired. When I saw Hardy and Ridley Scott, I knew it was worth watching. My Tuesday nights consist of running the basketball clock and rushing home to catch Taboo.
Was gonna start a thread Tuesday night but FX kept playing the show back to back, so I just kept watching it over and over. Great show. Tom Hardy just plays these roles so well; he just has such an intimidating look/face.
Spoiler "If you send me 12 men, I'll bring you back 12 pairs of testicles, watch your girls eat them, and then chop your totters off".
Anybody watching this? Honestly...I find it to be kind of a slog. Tom Hardy is awesome, but other than that, having a hard time keeping up with it. However.... Spoiler The ending scene was weird/cool. Is he a vampire? A zombie? I was confused but it at least got my attention for episode 3.
I have it DVR'ed. I was too tired to get through it, and it was really slow. I don't know if I'll keep up with it.
Hardy keeps you interested, but it isn't what I expected. Not as supernatural as l thought it would be.
I think it might feel like a slog because it still doesn't make a ton of sense. I think it'll start making sense at some point.......I hope....either way I'm enjoying it 2 episodes in......
Spoiler Or maybe he was just hungry Taboo is fun to look at but I agree this is a little hard to follow, so far. I'm going to give it a few episodes but the show seems to be playing a bit coy with whatever this secret is supposed to be. More action, please. Also: Spoiler Did he **** his sister? Is that what's going on? Is it his full sister or his half sister? I'm so confused.
