This makes sense. Offer him a cheap deal and see if he bites. He may want to stick it to Dallas. He may not want to play for our OL.
The Broncos have the best cornerback duo in the league; arguably best OLB, top 5 WR duo in Thomas and Sanders, recent champs so not as much pressure. The QBs on the roster are from the previous coaching staff and they might want to give Paxton Lynch some more time before handing him the reins. The biggest downside is the division but that window has not closed.
Could we somehow (don't ask me how) trade Brock for anything (at all) even if we sweeten the pot to some team, say the browns or niners? Use that salary to pay up romo and savage backup. Draft LB/OL and call it a day? Like what if we offered our 1st and Osweiller for a 2nd and 3rd or something like that?
Cris is back on the sauce. Romo, who has two seasons max left in his body for a perennial all pro defensive end with an entire career ahead of him. If Rick does that deal I'll kill him myself. Draft Deshaun Watson!!!
What a bunch of schmucks, there is absolutely no way the Texans would ever trade Watt for Romo. Dallas can have the corpse of Ed Reed plus two slaps across their mouths and in return the Texans get Romo for a janitorial management position.
We don't trade Watt unless we know for sure he will never ever be the same player ever again. Still, I think Watt will retire a Texan. Just doesn't make sense to make a trade for an injury prone QB
To give them a bit more credit, he said JJ Watt for Romo PLUS a first rounder. Their 2018 first rounder hoping that pick will be higher than this years. I'm not a Romo fan so I'm not intrigued by this at all just wanted to point that out.
