Every post ignores Dei's post and instead attacks Dei directly. What a bunch of mediocre posters.

Come on, man. I know you have to support your team, but let's go through this.

    1. There is zero substance to "Dei's post." It's just a dumb video with one idiot saying idiotic things. And that doesn't represent anything but one idiot on TV's views. So why should we care? So the story is that cable news puts nobody's on TV who scream and say inflammatory things to get ratings? Wow, that's news.

    2. Dei is an admitted white supremacist who loves to post whatever he can to show himself to be somehow superior to black people, so he's gonna get constant grief and rightly so in any civilized group of human beings. You don't want to side with this dude, ever.

    3. Attacking the messenger, you mean... like... all our president elect does on twitter all day every day? Yeah, what a horrible thing to do. LOL. We need better role models.

I enjoyed watching the females on this one. Faith Ford was blinking out morse code, Bahamadia had to chime in just to hide her laughter.

What if Blitzer or Cooper (also CNN employees) had said it? The outraged would still be silly?

Doesn't matter who said it. It's not worthy of any outrage.

The CBC aren't exactly open to giving out seats at their table...

All past and present members of the caucus have been black. In 2006, while running for Congress in a Tennessee district which is 60% black, white candidate Steve Cohen pledged to apply for membership in order to represent his constituents. However, after his election, his application was refused.[3] Although the bylaws of the caucus do not make race a prerequisite for membership, former and current members of the caucus agreed that the group should remain "exclusively black". In response to the decision, Rep. Cohen referred to his campaign promise as "a social faux pas" because "It's their caucus and they do things their way. You don't force your way in. You need to be invited."[3]

Rep. William Lacy Clay, Jr., Democrat of Missouri, the son of Rep. William Lacy Clay Sr., a co-founder of the caucus, said: "Mr. Cohen asked for admission, and he got his answer. He's white and the caucus is black. It's time to move on. We have racial policies to pursue and we are pursuing them, as Mr. Cohen has learned. It's an unwritten rule. It's understood." Clay also issued the following statement:

Quite simply, Rep. Cohen will have to accept what the rest of the country will have to accept—there has been an unofficial Congressional White Caucus for over 200 years, and now it's our turn to say who can join 'the club.' He does not, and cannot, meet the membership criteria, unless he can change his skin color. Primarily, we are concerned with the needs and concerns of the black population, and we will not allow white America to infringe on those objectives

My apologies for the post. I was just reading about the history of the CBC and that kind of stood out.

No apologies needed. I googled a part of the excerpt and it was interesting to see all of the different blog and other social media hits including a current Reddit thread from somewhere. Amazing how the right wing messaging gets blasted out there. Suspect someone or ones are trying to defend right wing positions by pointing to what they see as left wing positions.

Folks don't need to go as far away as Tennessee though... there was similar case here in the Houston area in 2004 involving Chris Bell. Seems Bell was gerrymandered by the GOP engine into another Democratic district.

So, are you giving your approval that people can use it? A bunch of mediocre negroes is pretty awesome to say.

It's only awesome because you are troubled by "negroes," due to your own dissatisfactions with your life. You are one of the most unhappy and cowardly posters on this board.

There isn't anything for me to approve. People said whatever they want and my reactions is based on not just the words said, but the context they were used in.

I'm practicing being less reactive, and more reflective. It's really good. I hope you can try it.
