Brewer has a role. He makes the opposition team feel good about themselves and get complacent while he scrubs the court and then BAM they get hit by the Rockets as soon as Brew steps off the court.
A minus 20 is an incredible achievement for Corey . Do you have any idea how hard that is to do , especially since the game was low scoring until about halfway through the 4th
Hah, I noticed that. Mind-bottling. I used to kinda like Brewer (as did a lotta Rockets fans I think circa 2015), but the more he plays lately, the more I want him gone... His minutes have stacked up recently with Ryno and Gordon being out, and it has hurt us. I hope this team can stay healthy the rest of the way... I still think in a *very specific* role, getting an average of maybe 8 spot minutes a game, he can be decent. But god, we do not want him being a regular rotation player.
-20 is the funniest stat ever for a team that was leading 95% of the way, only Brewer can come up with that. He is our Brock Osweiler, I'm guessing that the Rocks have to play him because he is getting paid.
"At the end of every night, when you go back and watch the film, there are three or four key plays that only Brew can make." "The kid is a winner. There is no other way around it. It's the only thing that matters to him." "I love Brew. I had him in Minnesota when we drafted him, and he is a champion." "People may see his game is kind of awkward. If you were teaching your kid how to play, you could never in a thousand years teach your kid how to play the way he plays." "He is special. His personality never changes; his attitude never changes. He is a guy that wherever I would go or would be, if it was time to go to battle, I would take him with me."
It's true. Rare to find a two way player like him, contributing so heavily to both teams on the floor.
Also, I think @Codman hinted at some point that the Bucks might be interested in him. There goes that!
We should have hide him on the bench after the Nets game. Stopped while we were ahead (Brewer was a plus 17......if only we could play the Nets every game).
I doubt any other team paid him more than Rockets, why did he play for other team while in Rockets uniform?
