His vote doesn't count anyway, he isn't a certified voter. Just doing it for MLB Network.

Good. How could he even begin to think he knows Bagwell was juicing. I'm biased, but these guys...

As an aside, anyone have an opinion as to why Jeff Kent hasn't gotten more run? I guess I'm borderline about him, but the <20% thing is a bit surprising to me.

I think there are potentially several factors: 1) he was nomadic (played for six teams; none longer than four years) - I think that hurts your narrative as it's easy to conclude five teams didn't want him (I know that's not necessarily the case - but.....) 2) he wasn't liked by teammates or media, which underscores his moving from team-to-team.

I think he's also a victim of the era - .269/.324/.455/.779; 106 OPS+. And then, after '98, when he turns 30 and, coincidentally, Bonds joined him in SF: .301/.373/.529/.902; 133 OPS+ through his age 39 season. That's highly suspicious.

    Rob Parker, ladies and gents:

As a side note, I don't understand the infatuation with Hoffman. Obviously I'm a Wagner fan, but the fact that Hoffman is projected around 72% while Wagner is around 12% just baffles me. He wasn't that much better. In fact, a good argument can be made that Wagner was better. Both are on their 2nd ballots.

Bill Livingston signed and submitted his ballot but wants it to be considered an abstention. He spent significantly more time and effort explaining how he essentially used the word "abstain" incorrectly in his column, though.

The blank ballot submitters are really atrocious fart-sniffers. Their self-righteous "stand" continues to hurt the game every time they do this.

What time is the announcement tomorrow? MLB Network's website says 2:00, the HOF website didn't have a time and several other websites have said 5:00. I want to watch it live so i want to make sure I have the correct time.

Seen several times on various mlb.com articles:
The results of the 73rd Baseball Writers' Association of America Hall of Fame election will be revealed Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET live on MLB Network, and simulcast live on MLB.com beginning at 5 p.m.

So, which is it?? 6pm ET or 5pm ET??

Funny how he never once mentions the media, as if they didn't have a clue what was going on. Wonder how many articles he wrote in the late 90's-2000's about PED use.

Bill Livingston, The Plain Dealer 5 hours ago

"For all pointing out that I technically voted by returning a signed ballot -- I indicated in the attached note why I did not name any players, asked for MLB guidelines, and said I considered it an abstention. I wouldn't have attached the explanatory note if I had wanted to vote for no one. If it ls counted that way, I still stand by what I tried to do."
