True, but only because he is the only coach who can get his team to install a nearly entirely different game plan every week, so at halftime he can be like "remember what we did 3 weeks ago, we are going to do that." Virtually no coach does that week-to-week, much less half-to-half.

He is easily the best NFL coach of the last like 20-25 years, and in the conversation with guys like Jimmy Johnson, Madden, Joe Gibbs, and Ditka.

I honestly don't even want fuller on the team anymore.

Whats the point in all that speed if you can't catch?

You won't ever amount to anything in the NFL if you can't catch.

The Fuller Drop is still making me mad. Wasted pick If you cant catch the dang ball..You can have speed all you want.

    Desperate move. Not bold.

For a second there in the 3rd quarter we were running the ball down their throats and it seemed like they couldn't stop us; then a 3rd and 3 takes place and we throw the ball? W.T.F? We had them on the ropes and let them off on that one play. Again seems like the coaches out-think themselves...

That's a hindsight characterization. At the time of the signing, it was most definitely a bold move.

I myself, was so excited over this pick, but was also worried when the scouting reports mentioned dropped passes. He and Ervin both scare me when they catch a ball. If you have to deal with dropped receptions or fumbles on punt returns it really kills your game. They really turned out to be less than exciting picks. So much for speed! Not only that, but what's the point of a receiver who can tear across the field if your play calling is mainly only short passes?

He'll get at least another year to try and be utilized. At times, he seemed to make the more difficult catches over the middle... but he struggles in the wide open over the shoulder variety.

CJF showed vast improvement between his rookie year and this year. Fuller will have a chance to do the same. He still has more natural ability than any other #2 WR the Texans have ever had. If Jacoby Jones can one day be a weapon on a SB team, so can Fuller.

It was an NFL conspiracy. Think about it. There's a reason no home team has ever made it to the Super Bowl There would be a massive negative financial impact if a home team was in the game. Hotel rooms go largely unused. No one is eating out any more because they're already at home. Millions of dollars are lost because a 1/2 the fans that would've traveled to see their team don't have to leave the friendly confines of their homes.

    CONSPIRACY!

Problem is, with Brock, he isn't utilized much for his speed. We settle for short routes most of the time. I don't see Hopkins wanting to stay on this team with Brock being here next year.

That's not just because of the QB.

The line can't hold protection enough for deep routes to develop. Teams started game-planning against Fuller's speed as soon as the 3rd game of the season (ironically, against the Pats), and once they took that away... it required some more adjustments.

But yes, in the end, you need a QB who can see all of the field, go through multiple reads, and select the best WR... within a time-frame of a few seconds of quick-trigger decision making. Brock has zero skills in that regard.

The Rams played in a SB in the Rose Bowl.

The Niners played in a SB at Stanford Stadium.

Then once they started having the SB only in Miami, New Orleans, Phoenix, and San Diego... it became that much harder.

Completely agree but the Patriots didn't play well yesterday, in fact in may have been their worst game of the season... the Pats have to play better if they want to make and win the SB.

You can tell BB isn't always hard on his players, contrary to the common held belief, he does show visible pride and happiness when his team executes well.

Really looking forward to another offensive overhaul offseason.

OL needs at least one tackle and one guard. Hopefully brown returns and Martin can make it out of training camp. TEs, need a real chain mover. Fiedorowicz is a #2. Fuller strong mumphery not very good seasons...miller got hurt...Hopkins might not be the all world #1. Wouldn't hurt to pick up a better running back. Lamar is good but this just isn't a one back league especially if you want to run as much as the Texans do. Sigh....

    Fuller! Catch that damn ball....

There are likely to be a number of QB's available; Jay Cutler, Tyrod Taylor, Kirk Cousins, Tony Romo and possibly Jim Garropolo.

While none of these QB's are world beaters; they are all clear upgrades over the worst starting QB in the NFL. Cutler would do very well in Houston with the weapons available, Tyrod Taylor doesn't need great line protection, he doesn't turn the ball over (Osweiler had 19 INT and Taylor 6 INT), can run the ball (500 yards a season) and can move the ball down the field better. Also Taylor had the most drops in the NFL.

But because Smith and Bob are challenged, we get to pay Brock $18,000,000 next year and probably cannot afford to make an upgrade.

Also the BOB comments are absurd, acting like he just now has figured out his OC sucks and his QB isn't good enough. The OLine is garbage as well.

Tackle in the first and get Patrick Mahomes somehow. KD Cannon in the mid rounds but we will end up with all big 10 guys because that's what BoB and Smith watch

Oh I absolutely 100% agree with all of this. My only point was in responding to whoever was saying that no matter how well NE played, Belichick and any other coach would say they played poorly. I agree the Pats played poorly yesterday and they need to play better if they want to keep advancing.

Dropped balls are part of the territory with Fuller - it's why someone with his speed and talent was available where the Texans were drafting. If he had great hands, he wouldn't have still been on the board.

As far as what's the point - the hope is that he improves over time. Remember Kareem Jackson and how wretched he was in Year #1, to the point that virtually everyone wanted him cut and gone? 6 years later, he's still here. Not all 1st round picks contribute immediately. Fuller's shown flashes of his potential - it's still an open question as to whether he can reach it.

Why can't anyone give credit to the Texans defense, instead of saying the Patriots didn't play well?

The Patriots didn't play well because the Texans defense, for the most part, imposed it's will on their offense. It was fairly impressive.
