Morey is his number one fan. Every interview they do he raves about him. D'Antoni and McHale did the same. He must be doing something right. Plus the Rockets had number of offers according to rumors for Ariza. They love him.
Oh please, this scares the **** out of me, man, Ariza is rocking, the team is rocking, he has been durable, loyal and professional every day since he came back. Nothing but respect for this man and I hope he retires a Rocket, altough, sadly, with Morey, that seems to be a pipe dream.
Well i'm sure we could gotten much more then average player like Rubio if we wanted to trade him. There were rumors of the 6ers offering Okafor or Noel for him?
Ariza took a lot of criticism for his poor shooting over OKC. However, here's Kevin Pelton of ESPN discussing his contribution (around the 10 minute mark). http://www.espn.com/espnradio/play?id=19249255 The discussion was initially about Beverley (and his verbal exchange with Westbrook), but Pelton pointed out that Beverley's value is in part that the Rockets didn't need to use its wing stopper, Ariza, on Westbrook much, which freed Ariza up to defend Oladipo, which he did well.
Man I hope he pulls it together offensively. When he hits, we win. I love Ariza, but I don't know who that dead body was out there.
thx trev for playing superstar minutes 3 straight years and not complaining one bit. hopefully they smarten up and cut down your minutes so you have the energy to make threes in the 4th qtr. bulk up to 230-240 and be our starting pf. save your career as a starter, get a big contract. do it
Did he die? Is he dying? Did he leave the team? Good Bye Trev! Seriously, he's been an epic defensive player since he came into the league with LA at the tender age of 19..Long and athletic..He might only play "very good" D now, but it's all good. Has always provided defensive versatility. Can grab some boards when needed. Streaky, spot up shooter who can't put it on the floor. He grew up in a hurry, in the right atmosphere.... consummate pro who's gotten the most out of his skills. Still, a key piece on a contender. Great veteran leadership in the locker room. Lot of miles on the those tires.
