Damn, that sucks. Hope Savage brings his A game....whatever that is....to his first NFL career start....
I kind of like the way we use blue, akeem and grimes more. I cringe when we're winding down time and have miller run it inside, unnecessary shots to that frame. We will probably avg 6 yards per carry today. Just hold on to the damn ball.
Akeem has looked so damn good in spurts this year...he usually bust through the hole with the speed and quickness that I expect from Miller.... but Miller been beat up pretty bad after first few games this season
Fans have been sucking the dick pretty hard this week when it comes to Savage, here's hoping he lives up to the hype.
Well would you agree when saying he looked better than Osweiler has at any point this season in 2.5 quarters? Yep. We as Texan fans only have had about 2 years of good QB play in franchise history. We are all oblivious.
Fans being guided by hope in change, no matter how legitimate the hope may be. Kind of like the election this year. I hope both turn out for the better, though I'm not holding my breath on either.
For sure, if nothing else the fact that he has a MUCH better grasp of the entire offense is a huge advantage so the team absolutely has to stick with him.....but fans are going a bit overboard IMO. He still threw 3 passes that were nearly picked in those 2.5 quarters so I'm a bit weary of the over the top praise leading to a big let down.
Every Elite QB has a few of those moments per game. I wouldn't kill him on that. That Derek Carr guy got lucky we didn't pick him off 5 times, but we only got one to show for it.
At some point though that luck runs out if they keep throwing that many interceptable passes. Now, it's hard to base anything on the tiny sample we've seen from Savage, but knowing the spectacular fanbase Houston has, if a few passes are picked today, they'll turn on him in a heartbeat no matter why they get picked. Of course we just have to hope for the best.
I agree with you about Akeem, but so many times that he's fighting for that extra yard, it looks like he's on the verge of fumbling. That concerns me.
TV guide shows Titans vs Jaguars, why is CBS showing the Dolphins vs Bills? Lame Would of liked to watch the Titans game (thats a first) considering the playoff implications for the Texans Edit: They just switched over
To be honest, Savage is the first QB we've had that doesn't go full on "Happy Feet" when getting blitzed.
