Wanting everybody to love you is a pointless goal which can never be achieved. If a Warriors fan thinks Steph is better than Harden, i'm fine with that. He's a WARRIORS FAN. If a Rocket fan says that we can argue amongst each other. The media doesn't validate your success, your wins do.
That's about right. I don't rank us higher than the Cavs and Golden State...Yet And for Cleveland, LeBron is the best player in the league, Not the MVP because that's for the best regular season performer. The guy has been to the finals basically every year. And Golden State has 2 players who won the MVP. The Rockets have great chemistry and Harden has been lights out as a PG.
It's not about love. Respect =|= love. I don't love/like steph curry. I think he isn't nearly as good as harden in literally everything besides shooting. But i can still respect his game because its based around his skills (shooting 3-pters)
You are asking for respect from TV commentators . Think about that. Their job is to comment. And you make them rich when it infuriates you. The worst thing that could happen is if you don't care what they think and watch something else.
Because perception matters. Perception makes Harden unworthy bum despite having numbers comparable to the greatest who have ever played the game. Perception make Harden lazy despite only missing 1 game in four years. (a suspension) Perception places Harden 10th among NBA's most popular players even though he is one of the most unique personalities in the NBA Look at Westbrook: Media has him as MVP despite being 7th in the rankings. It isn't "Is he hurting the team", it's "He has to do it for the team to be successful". Westbrook is one of the worst defending guards in the league, but the perception is he is one of the best.
The media hated the Houston Rockets beating the Knicks and we won another Title. Winning > Perception
But what is the perception of the Rockets two titles? "MJ wasn't in the league, doesn't count". Despite Houston history of dismantling the Bulls the perception is the Rockets wouldn't have gotten a championship if MJ was in the league. Perception counts; It counts for History. Rudy T is still not in the Hall of fame by the way.
This is true that the Non Believers are still Non Believers but we must ensure Believers are really Believers
Well, not all the media guys hate Rockets, most of them just hate DHoward, I guess. And a couple of guys hates the term Analytics, for some reason. To name one, Ric Bucher. Go search any his ESPN analysis about Rockets and feel for yourself. And interesting enough, Bucher got a podcast with a co-host name: BJ Armstrong...
