Here's what we have so far on the Dmo physical front . Initial thread and tweets from JB saying maybe Dmo won't be back D'antoni interview where he says he doesn't know , but expects it wrapped up soon Woj bomb saying Houston is still "gathering info" Dmo likes JB's tweets about him failing the physical for "not medical reasons" So what could be going on here ? Here's a key distinction that could make all of the tweets correct . Dmo HAS NOT FAILED the physical he simply HAS NOT PASSED YET . Maybe we wanted a second opinion on a certain x-Ray or MRI . That could be a hold up . Dmo would have been told to go home since he's not currently under contract yet . So we have two possibilities at this point. They are still evaluating the physical results or he failed it . I think if he failed it , woj would have said he failed it .
Not sure why Codman would bury a trade-rumor post in a runaway DMo thread ... but alas, I saw it. Here it is. It's psuedo mixed with DMo stuff, but the trade rumor is probably more interesting to most. Let me summarize what we got so far: 1. The Nets offered DMo a 4-year 37M contract after DMo passed their physical. (Detials: only 1 year guaranteed, up to 6M incentive money) 2. The Rockets matched the principal parts of the contract but not the incentives. 3. The matched contract was pending on DMo passing a physical with the Rockets. 4. DMo either did not show up for the physical or did not pass. BJ claimed that they had "rights." 5. Rockets were said to have negotiated a new contract. (Details: similar to the Nets contract, with part of the incentives in place but with a later deadline to exercise the team option of the second year.) 6. DMo still has not shown up. The Rockets are talking to the league and the Players Association. 7. Codman said that DMo would be on the roster but had to earn his PT in the rotation. They do not want to mess up the team morale. 8. On another note, two players are to be shipped, probably in January. KJ is almost certain to be among them. The other guy is undisclosed. (Definitely not DMo because he can't be traded.)
