This rub? "Ok team, I'm tired of slow starts, we've gotta come out firing on all cylinders!" "So what's the gameplan for the first quarter, coach?"
No; he had an abysmal start (2/8; 14 yards and a sack). But from the middle of the 2Q through OT, he led them on five scoring drives, including two prior to the 4Q. That's not spin - it's a fact. He finished 23/31 (74%) for 255 (8.2 YPA); 2/1. He essentially made one bad throw (the pick). That wasn't *all* in the 4Q (though he *was* even better in the 4Q).
I think an interesting way to put it would be: Take any QB, look at all their drives. Put every 3 and out/ non scoring drive in the beginning then put every other drive afterwards. I get it, he was bad to start and good to finish, ppl just need to look at the average. I dont care when he is good or bad, if his avg is what it was last week I am happy. And FWIW, I would rather him finish with those 8 drives rather than start with them. Can you imagine if he played awesome those first 3.5 quarters and we were up 23-9 then he played like he started with 3-outs and we lost? Ppl need to be thankful for what happened.
i agree with part of that houstontime but at same time if we face a potent offense(one whose qb gets rid of the ball extremely fast) we would be down 3tds before we can blink. It's definitely up to the coaching staff to get brock in rhythm by "calling plays he likes" and using the millers in open space more.
Hallelujah. Anderson, Allen, and Newton all practicing. Although, given how Allen and Newton have played so far this season, it might not make much of a difference.
I understand why people don't trust our defense, but predicting the Broncos score more than 21? Their offense is falling apart, their line can't block for anything, D Thomas has worse hands than Fuller right now, and they're not running the ball well which is how they get the offense rolling. If the offense can get in rhythm I think we have a great shot of winning. Injuries are piling up especially in the secondary but Denver won't be able to block Clowney or Merciless if they keep up their play. 20-13 Houston BOLD PREDICTION: Brock doesn't throw a pick this week(...or a TD pass)
Texans sign Don Jones, Brandon Dunn to active roster http://www.chron.com/sports/texans/article/Texans-sign-Don-Jones-Brandon-Dunn-to-active-9983296.php
Mainly worried about their pass rush... Running game is going to have to be good so we can use some play action and keep them off Brock. Texans win 17-13
Obviously a lot easier said than done but if we can take an early lead like the Chargers did last week vs Denver I like our chances. Siemian isn't good at all and their offense looked horrible. I'm sure Denver is thinking the same though. Looking like we'll be getting some big names back in action. Hopefully we can build off of Osweilers 2nd half and Lamars night. I like our chances but we've yet to show we can play on the road which is all on BOB IMO. Gonna be optimistic and say Texans 24-17
