[ClutchFans] FINALLY! Rockets unveil black alternate jersey for 2016-17 season

They are! Played my first game of MyGM with them!

 

I will finally have to make a new signature. It's about 11 years since I created it. The jersey although, looks too close to the Bulls and the mismatched border of the lettering and lack of around numbers need adjustment.

 

Will these be available to order online? Or just at the team store?

 

I mean they make Neapolitan ice cream because some like chocolate, some vanilla and some strawberry... I just do not like them. They are eye sores. I don't know how to fix them but the white outline with red on the name and not the number clashes. When I see Houston, that's like that one guy who has the red eyes all the time but the number shows the guy with clear eyes, you know what im sayin...

Black isn't a Rocket's color to my knowledge.

Academy had these yellow Jersey-Shirts which were basically our mustard and ketchup jerseys but inverted colors. I liked that. That to me said Rockets. It was new, but it was true to the Rockets red and yellow which I will always associate them with. I wish we would have had those jerseys instead.

 

Can you buy these online?!?

As a strong believer in the stupidest thing in the world, superstitions, if we start winning in the black uni, keep wearing the black uniform.

 

I really like these. Gonna start dropping hints for my wife to get a custom one for XMas.

I'm surprised you guys like these. Doesn't feel like the Houston Rockets at all.

More like AAU/ARC jerseys.

Looks MUCH better than the bootleg, the side is more black/dark gray blocks instead of white, Swingman was $110 and replicas were $70 plus tax. I was able to use my STH 20% off discount card so my Swingman came out to $95 and change. Just like the Clutch City sleeve and the alternates before it, there is no "R" on the V neck for replicas but present for the Swingmans. They have plenty at the moment of the replicas, wouldn't be surprise if they are low of the Swingmans by Sunday's game

 

I was just about to tag @Dave2000 to see if you are going to buy on the first day.

Only had Harden in Swingman, Harden/Ryno in Replica, but they can custom make any player in the replicas, blank swingmans will be offered in a few weeks when they get them

 

^^^ I don't really know what Swingman means ... I suppose that is not a real Authentic that the players will wear? Shouldn't we see more stitching on the lettering? @Dave2000

I guess real player Authentics would be much more than $110 for those Swingman jerseys???

 

These are ok. Pretty generic black uniform. Number font and color doesn't match HOUSTON, which is using a different font as well. No interesting side panel or stitching design, just the R logo and some red stripes... yawn. The squares homage to the rocket are decent, hard to see though. These are miles better than the home/road at least.

Seriously though can they please ditch the Pacers number font.

 

guess i'm not much of a fashionista ... jersey looks great to me!
