looking to furnish a new house and I personally think a mattress is the single most important material thing you can buy due to how much time you spend in it, and how important sleep is. Also had a bout of back pain once, which was basically the worst thing ever, so i really want to do my due diligence on this one. We are side / back sleepers and generally like memory foam and very soft. Also like it to be very cool when I sleep. Was looking at a Sealy I comfort f300 or a tempurpedic cloud breeze supreme in the stores, but then got home and just found tons of horror stories online and a ton of terrible reviews. For a $4000 product, I dunno if I can take a chance on something that ends up terrible. Looking for thoughts / recommendations.
I personally haven't tried any of these and am looking for a new mattress too, but I generally like The Sweet Home's reviews and recommendations for products: http://thesweethome.com/reviews/best-foam-mattresses-you-can-buy-online/
Mattress Mac will be refunding my king size Tempurpedic in November. I highly recommend getting a $4K mattress for free if you can.
I bought a Leesa online and added a $200 memory foam mattress pad to it. it's the best bed I've had in my life.
I'm very risk-averse so normally I'd never gamble on something this expensive. But I couldn't help myself. Seemed like a guaranteed W. Hopefully I was right.
Go to Texas Mattress Makers. I spent about a month checking out all different types of mattresses up to ~$7k and ended up getting one from them for less than half the price and it fit my wife and I perfectly. They're basically the manufacturer of beds for some name brands and will make whatever you want if they don't have it. They will even build half the bed different from the other half if you and your mate are that different. My second choice would be aireloom mattresses, which is what the white house uses.
Very satisfied Tuft & Needle owner here. This mattress completely ended the days of waking up feeling groggy and tired for me. It's brilliant how great this mattress is, and it's probably 1/4 or less the price of a comparable TempurPedic. We've already decided that we're going with T&N whenever we need to buy a new mattress for any room in the future.
