Looked to me like Brock was calling audibles on almost every play. I couldn't believe how slow they were moving while Brock was trying to figure out what to do. Maybe blame the coaches for giving Brock too much control? I mean last year the coaches were able to beat Cincy and the Jets with Weeden so it seems like they know how to call a game. That Jets game was a clinic.

Man, I'm glad I didn't grow up with this franchise. Helps me sleep easier. Still haunted by Oiler nightmares, though.

And so many of the audibles were delay draws that would get 1-2 yards. He did seem to get scared by his pre-snap read of the defense and didn't want to throw. I don't remember an audible that resulted in a pass.

BoB deserves partial blame for allowing the power, but hearing this makes me think even less of Brock. BoB deserves full blame for signing this dude.

Actually it was all Rick Smith. BOB had to be sold on signing Brock by the Ricker. If you recall BOB never got to talk to Brock before the signing. Then you have Brock talking about how he loves being in control of an offense and it being a big reason why he chose Houston. IMO we'd be better off with the coaches calling plays instead of Brock. I mean doesn't McCarthy still call the plays in GB?

Anyone believe Rick's employment relies on Brock?

Talk about letting the air out of the balloon. We will most likely win the division but BOB needs to figure out what to do when we play his daddys team and the rest of the afc powerhouses.

Bob so far is willing to overpay
Don't think it was all Rick at all. Its on B'ob, starting with his decision to pass up on several good QBs in the draft

This team definitely has a problem with scoring tds. It's pretty clear. Add it's frustrating knowing the weapons this team has.

It seems like every Texan's coach's philosophy is to get the run game going to set up the pass game. And it has consistently failed except for that narrow stretch of seasons where we had the best run blocking o-line in the game with one of the best rushers in the game. Ya, it will work then but no way you can set up a pass game with the run with the patched up o-line this team currently possess. All you are going to accomplish is wasting downs on 2 yard gains. It's stupid.

We saved money by letting Brandon Brooks and Ben Jones go (replacing them with cheaper alternatives) and using that extra money for Brock and Lamar Miller.

The OL is clearly not as good as last year.

Well....I mean, the OL is missing 2 starters right now....just MAYBE that has something to do with it.

I won't bother rebutting, given that we all know your position, further cemented recently:

Of course the reason I don't like him is because of his terrible draft and free agent decisions

Once BOB moved on from Brian Hoyer, Mr. Clutch wanted him fired. Getting rid of his boy is just something he can't look past or excuse.

OtherGuy has a point: everything that is good is because of smart decisions, everything that is bad is because of decisions by those stupid people....

Not saying you're wrong about anything, but given everything you've said before it's hard to consider your opinions as impartial.

On the bright side... The Steelers got smashed by the Eagles today, so apparently sometimes **** just happens.
