I think FSU probably comes back (per usual) but falls short since Lamar Jackson is actually capable of making plays unlike that 2014 game. And Francois is no Winston. Plus Louisville has luck on their side with that tipped pass caught with Quick's knees. Basically gave them a free touchdown.
I was with you there for a bit when FSU started to move the ball on offense better, but now I'm not so sure. a 25-point deficit is significant, and this isn't like opening weekend when FSU was playing a Mississippi team with no running game, allowing them to drop everyone back into coverage. I'm just not sure they can slow down Lamar Jackson enough in the second half to make up 25 points, given the run/pass threat he and the rest of the offense poses.
I still feel confident FSU's offense will get untracked, but they trail by 25 and show no sign of stopping Louisville. Mind-blowing stuff. Not only would this knock a team ahead of UH out of contention, the UL/UH game becomes even more valuable to UH. If Louisville beats Clemson in 2 weeks, College Gameday will come to Houston again and UH beating Louisville locks them into the CFP.
This one is over. Jackson's picks are usually on deep balls. I don't see a comeback even if FSU causes some turnovers. The field looks too long and the FSU running game is out of the equation. Tonight I'd like to see OSU lose, but doesn't matter anymore. Houston is in control of it's own destiny.
Okay, I'll take .....Fla. St. +21 ? Seriously, Louisville looks great ...The Coogs will whoop up on em though.
Fsu just isn't very good this season... Over rated... But he'll of a game by Louisville... Taking care of business, last week's game was a telling sign..
Dang. I wanted Louisville to beat FSU but not this bad. At this rate, they will leapfrog UH in the polls.
That would be fine as we play them later in the year. Louisville plays @ Clemson in two weeks. We need them to run the table, and we take care of our own business to set up that showdown in November (here in Houston).
