Some family of mine is headed to Destin this weekend by car. Waze is telling me there is no disruption to the normal I10/I12 route to Florida Panhandle. I called their hotel and the hotel said guests have had no issue. If another rout was needed to Florida what do you guys suggest? Anyone in LA or AL and dealing with the rain? Is the interstate fine?
what a badass <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/UbiPT5VMo8E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Hope your family made it ok (or didn't go). I10/I12 was closed in BR today due to flooding. I think west bound is now open but east bound is still closed.
Wow! These people are great for saving that lady and the way that guy just saved her dog was even better. Was not expecting that.
Good point, but you never know when you might find a living missing link bridging Homo Erectus to modern man.
Just got back from Destin. That same storm would've practically ruined our trip if our accommodations weren't so swanky. I-10 is clear though. And approx 95% of all vacationers there are from the Houston area.
The SE / BR area is now under GOHSEP. Event is at least "hurricane katrina" scale now and can be larger. Total disaster.

One of my friends from high school that moved back to his home city has completely lost everything. He was doing a walk through on snapchat of his house and there was at least 3 or 4 ft of water in there and his dog was just sitting on a kitchen counter. He said he literally has nothing besides the clothes on his back and his dog. Feel bad for the dude but it looks serious over there.
