Not the question you are asking, but there IS a 2nd Maker: Matur Maker is Thon's younger brother. Touted by some as a better prospect (I doubt it). Also very tall and with long arms. You can get a glimpse of him in number 5 in the clip Needs to be said, but the Maker boys claim the youtube mixtapes inaccurately reflect their style of game.
How are you all just gonna go have an Aussie thread without me!? Man, I'm loving the Boomers work. Everyone playing their role. Got that great Aussie hustle and spirit . Sky is the limit
Looking forward to tomorrow's game against the USA. Not because I think we can win, but it will be a really great yard stick to see how far we've come. Like Bogut said in a recent interview, years ago when Australia played the US, our players would be asking for autographs. Now we can (or should) be able to make a game of it. I'd love to see us keep the gap to under 20.
Did you forget that Shane Heal played a season for the T'Wolves back when they had the dynamic young duo of Garnet and Marbury? I didn't realize, but he also played for the Spurs in 03/04. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/healsh01.html His stats were horrific. In 96/97 for the Wolves, he shot 30.8% from 3. His overall FG% was 26.8%. For the Spurs, it was 22.2% from 3, and overall FG% was 29.2%. Clearly, prime Delly vs prime Heal is not a close match. I agree though regarding their roles to get under an opponent's skin.
Couldnt remember the teams, but I remembered he had stints, just like Gaze did after Seton Hall. Although I cant quite remember whether Gaze made it to a final roster. But that is exactly what I mean. Heal is known and remembered as a 3 pt shooter, but Delly is actually a better shooter by percentages. At least on assisted set shots, thanks to Lebron. And while Heal could get under an opponent's skins, he wasnt athletic enough nor a good enough defender to do so in a meaningful way.
You got to be out of your mind to not think the Warriors didn't get worst with Bogut gone. He played a clean game and is a top notch Center of the world regardless of the venue.
Can't be. Mills is a good player, but saying he's MVP caliber is crazy. There's aspects of his game I do like over Curry, but no where near the same level. Definitely helped him being under Pop for so many years.
