Happy Birthday ClutchFans...seeing as how this site dominates all other basketball sites, I think this song below is quite appropriate.
And it also happens we need a new mascot.. but he was there for 21 years. Someone from this site better do it.
First time I visited was in Fall '96 on my dad's dial-up modem. I would visit periodically until the BBS was created then it was daily. I would go to the UH library just to log in and read between classes. Someone broke the story about trading for Steve here and it hooked me. I remember skipping a class because someone said we were trading for Shandon Anderson. HAH! Thanks for all the years Clutch.
Even some of my non-Houston and non-Rocket-fan friends know about this website and it's popularity, which I'd say is a testament to it's quality. Well done and thank you, Clutch!
Happy birthday! Twenty years ago I was successfully pronouncing Olajuwon and later debating other kindergartners on Charles Barkley when he joined the Rockets.
Clutchfans as it is named now (hated giving up the original name) has got to be the best fan site. I appreciate it because I am a lifetime away from Houston (Living in PA) and have little opportunity to get Houston information. Clutch has helped keep me informed or misinformed on April 1st. Though all these years he has spent his personal life keeping us up to date. Thanks Clutch, I can never repay you. Dutch
Congrats Clutch, this website has been my number 1 go to site for the last 13 years. Makes supporting Houston from down under much more enjoyable.
