Payton II will be a great off the bench presser when the game calls for it. And yeah our game this coming year will scream for it. Nice addition, plus I got his dad's autograph on my sneakers so hell yeah ! lol.

That's horrible to see. Hard to get a NBA contract or camp invite not being being able to showcase yourself in summer league. Wish him a speedy recovery.
I mean I hope the best from him and all the undrafted players but even if he makes the team, he's not ready to contribute.
Agree with HeyPartner ... this should be a separate thread since it really has nothing to do with his signing. I went ahead and copied it to a new thread for you.
Morey needs to sign David Stockton to a 3 years contract. Why did he sign GP2 to 3 years instead of Seth Curry for 2 years???
It's not bad LOL, he can still come back in time for actual league play since after preseason we have 5 meaningless games before the season actually starts. He's gonna be fine, esp. since he already has a 3 year contract he can now stop and get surgery to fix his hernia ASAP.
Stockton has signed in Croatia for three years and has no NBA-level anyway. Seth Curry was offered guaranteed money higher than the minimum. Payton's contract is not guaranteed and since we have only one roster spot left, he would've been waived even without the injury.
It's crazy how someone can have EVERY physical tool you could want at a position, and also comes from a family where high bball IQ was a given, can just not get it. Kids rarely live up to their parents greatness, but he's twice the athlete his dad was and doesn't have the skills. Bummer...
He isn't twice the athlete his father was... I don't think you realize how quick his father was, how his father had the ability to start and stop on a dime.
