I'm with Asby. Would have ph Rasmus before the rook.

I'd imagine it's because you can move Marwin to 2nd for Worth. Rasmus subbing for Worth means you lose both if Rasmus doesn't get on first?

Hinch strategy in close games is still too subpar. Rasmus isn't a world beater but why put that on the rook when you have Rasmus available?

Hard to believe Reed couldn't do anything with three flat fastballs. I thought he'd crush it.

Probably why he went with Reed but that's a big moment for the rook who has struggled. I would have gone with Rasmus and deal with the aftermath. Rasmus isn't a world beater but putting Reed in that spot is tough.

Rasmus is still getting over an illness. Probably only wants to use him as a last resort. I suspect if they were still losing, that Rasmus would have hit since the situation was more dire.

    But....once again....it's a 9 inning game (9+ sometimes) and a 162 game season.

Yesterday you really wanted to PH for Gomez. When I said it was because he didn't want to leave the game in Reed's hands, you still advocated for the pinch-hitter. Can't have it both ways

edit: neither can Hinch. I'd imagine he didn't want to put Reed in that spot but felt he had to. As bob said, likely because of Rasmus's illness
