Not mad at this even though I wanted him on this team but I'm just glad he didn't reup with the Warrios. He easily could've taken a minimum deal with them instead.
Now that he is a Clipper, his nickname should be MA Taylor. Since he just shoots jumpers and little else, like y'alls boy and former Clipper LEGEND - Maurice Taylor.
I'm SHOCKED he signed for the minimum. Shocked. Seriously. Guy has not made a ton of money in his career and surely could have made a few million at least this season. Wow.
Mo Speights is a poor man's Antoine Walker, which isn't even a knock on Mo Speights. Antoine Walker was that good.
Agreed, you would think they'd want to keep together a 73 win team that was a minute away from their second championship in a row.
Speights hasn't taken enough shots to really know who he is, but just FYI, his 39% from three last year is better than anything Walker ever shot. He's also more effective on 2 pointers and free throws than Walker ever was. Now, Speights has only seen limited playing time so no way to know, but he hasn't been a poor man's Antoine Walker in the minutes he has played.
Wonder why he's taking the minimum? Either way, good pickup for the Clips and the Warriors will miss him. Are they gonna lose Ezeli too? If so, their center position will be gutted from what they had the last 2 years.
Mo, Ezeli, Bogut and Vareflop gone. Front court: Green, ZaZa, Damian Jones and David West as of right now. Pretty thin in my opinion.

Very thin. And it was their frontcourt that did them in in the Finals(and nearly in the WCF). Green's suspension in Game 5 and Bogut's injury in Games 6 and 7 were the difference against the Cavs. I think the Warriors may have overreached on this one. I get rolling the dice if your team is struggling or going nowhere. The Barkley trade in 1996 for example when the Rockets literally could not beat the Sonics even once. But the Warriors were less than a minute away from a 2nd straight title in a 73-win season. If Irving misses that 3 or LeBron is a half-second late blocking that Iggy layup, Golden State likely wins Game 7.
Zaza is plenty good with the underhanded stuff, too. BTW, here's a little clip of Zaza vs. fellow new Warrior David West: As for Mo Speights: My guess is that the big $ has dried up after most of the teams already spent their cap room and his lack of usefulness/minutes in the playoffs, particularly the later rounds, undermined his market. Also, he is not that old, but looked kind of out of shape and slow last season. He might have had a somewhat larger offer on the table-- how much is to be debated when Nene is taking $2.9M. However, what the Clippers offer is an opportunity to get pretty substantial minutes given their lack of depth, especially with Cole Alrich leaving town. Mo might bank on a good year netting him a substantial contract next offseason.
Holy **** why is he only getting the minimum? A floor spacing big off the bench has to be worth more than that. He'd have been the ideal pick and pop guy here in Houston.
Based on this tweet, I have a feeling they didn't offer him a contract for a reason.

Sounds like Myers has serious leads elsewhere. Yea, it wouldn't surprise me if it comes out that he has some weird "hobby", you know peeing on the team basketballs etc.
