Dunno about that one. We simply haven't seen enough of Dekker. But I like Dekker's with ethnic, his basketball intelligence, and his nose for the ball. Right now without having enough sight lines, in viewing Dekker as more of a 4 under MDA. Dekker has an aggression that Harkless is missing up until now. But they're both high character guys. (Id still rather get Uthoff committed to a 2 year $3 million deal with a team option on year 3.)
i guess we'll know more after summer league. anyways it would been nice to have a dynamic flyer at the wing position who can also consistently hit on open shots. imo ariza's inability to put the ball on the floor, finish well in the paint, or do anything offensively in transition is a real drag on our offense (not even mentioning his streaky shot).
100% agree. Ariza is a 5th offensive option at best. Still a great defender but very limited offensively. I miss Parson's dribble drives, passing, and cutting on the offensive end. (This is why I want to sign Uthoff so badly. He's got all Parson's offensive game and then some and has good defensive potential as well. He's sitting out there free as a bird, he's ready to play, and he won't cost hardly any salary. Young with upside potential. Virtually no risk. And plenty of upside.)
You like Dekker because of his ethnicity????? Hahahhahahah What about Isaiah Canaan? Have you finally given up on him? Seems like the only thing he can do at the NBA level is shoot
Things have been oddly quiet on the Rockets free agency front in the last two days since the Gordon signing. I think Morey is working the phones now and considering his trade options, and I'd be shocked if he doesn't make at least significant trade this offseason. The wild card in all of this is DMo. If a team offers him a contract, and he signs the offer sheet, Morey will have only 72 hours to wheel and deal before he loses the rest of his cap flexibility.
They need to make a trade soon; it's long overdue. Our roster is extremely unbalanced. We need a real point guard and a rebounding/ rim defending big.

Reports are Durant just landed in Boston(this wouldn't make sense to me as they can't sign for a few more days) Reports are Durant has choses GSW from OKC reporter/GSW reporter. Fun last minute drama for the sports world.
My dream scenario is that Morey helps free up Minnesota's logjam at PG and C by dealing some combination of Ariza, Brewer, young guys and picks for Rubio and Dieng. But I feel like that is almost certainly a pipe dream. I'd be totally satisfied, though, with any deal that involved Ariza, Brewer and/or Beverley and brings back a more talented PG or defensive C. I'd be happy dealing pretty much any player on the roster other than Harden at this point.
I'm torn on how I would feel if Durant chose Golden State. On the one hand, it makes OKC significantly worse, and they pretty much fall out of contention and are basically a lock to lose Westbrook in a year. Plus, it could mess with the Warriors' chemistry and actually have a negative impact on the team. And there's always the long-term implications of what it could mean for re-signing Curry, Thompson and Green down the line. But on the flip side, swapping Barnes out for Kevin freakin' Durant on a 73-win basketball team is legitimately terrifying on paper. I don't think there's a team in the West that could compete with them in a 7-game series.

I'm sorry but ariza is not a great defender anymore, hes a good one that can have lapses and some pretty good stretches in him. Im sorry but i dont feel comfortable with him guarding a star or even a 20 ppg wing. Not too mention another year where he get's older. It'd be different if he wasnt do limited offensively, cant finish, 3 ball isnt how it was, a wing is a desperate need. Someone who can create and atleast be decent on defense.
