You certainly do not understand the part of : two selfish, full of ego superstars that no one wants to play with them.
Luol Deng is twice the player Anderson is but the trailer-trash ripped the Lakers and are smoking Morey's manhood.
That's an interesting thought. Why not play him at the 1? I mean, defensive matchups don't really matter when talking about someone incapable of defending anyone in the NBA. Just slot him in wherever you feel like it. His 28 might as well be 38, his only skill is shooting the ball, he's basically right now where Dirk is.
Amazing! Morey is out of his mind! I'm done with Les and Daryl. This is a bad joke! 20m/yr for Anderson? I'm done!
I have yet to see someone propose a realistic free agency (non trade) scenario that upgrades our roster for cheaper. Standing pat does not fix our problem of having no shooters to surround Harden with. We have just signed one of the top bench scorers in the league. There are only 30 teams in the NBA. This guy was #35 in the league in scoring! While coming off the bench! And to think that he can't be better is laughable. He will only grow here.
The complete lack of comprehension of the new salary cap is hilarious! 20mil is not what it was last year! If you want decent players, this is what they'll cost from now on. You all would be b****ing if Morey didn't sign anyone! He signed a good player at the price of good players... What more do you want?
Hey! One for the wolves! Lol. These sheep are funny. Horford would be a nice addition now. Wasn't too high on him before this signing, but now it makes a lot of sense considering he won't have to do as much prancing around the perimeter with Anderson able to fill that role.
Not saying that he is dominating down low but he does post quite a bit. He has a nice turn around step back he uses on the post and is very effechive with it. He is not just a Steve Novak standing around. He will also pump fake and dribble in to create his shot. Someone posted a nice youtube highlight of what he does offensively.
If everybody knew what the hell they were talking about....then the league would consist of 100 teams. Lol. Most people don't know **** about basketball.
Upside: we will win more games this year in the regular season and potentially attract more FA's next year or via trades. (I think that teams are going to realise how dumb their deals are and this years trade deadline will be crazy). Ryan could very well be a trade asset if it comes down to it. Downside: this looks just like the team three years ago only substitute Parsons for RA at the four and Lin for a rookie PG. Meaning we actually got worse over three years. I'm concerned as to what will happen when Harden hits free agency and we keep side stepping like this. Morey has to be concerned about his job in Houston
Here comes the championship run! Who needs Durant! Who needs Conley! Who needs Horford!. We got Ryan Anderson for 80 mil! What a bargain. Top general managing Morey!
How many years did Michael Jordan lose before he even sniffed his first round of the playoffs? Lol. Arguably the greatest player in the history of the game had to learn to sink before he swam. Your argument is invalid. Every winner loses at some point.
This is what confuses me... You say that you just think he was overpaid, and that he should have made $12 million a year. But then you go on to essentially rip the guy a new one in every subsequent post. But if you claim that he would have been a decent signing at $12 million a year, then clearly you must think that Anderson makes them a better basketball team, right? If that's the case, I don't know why you're arguing. If you think he makes the team better, who gives a damn if they overpaid? They had $45 freaking million in cap room. Who else were they going to give money to? And they still have around $25 million left to spend on other guys. Also, if the last 36 hours has taught us anything, it's that what we should be expecting out of NBA contracts has changed drastically with the increase in cap room. If you give everyone $24 million more to spend in one season, they're going to spend it. And if you want to get the same players that other teams want, you had better be willing to pay for it or else you're going to end up with nothing.
Do you really think that the Rockets would be winning a title next year with Conley or Horford? The only player they could have acquired in free agency that could have given them a shot to make that happen was Durant. And he's probably just going back to his original team like 80-90 percent of the other marquee free agents have thus far.
