Green was assessed a flagrant 1 for the James/Green incident. He has assessed four points for flagrant fouls in the playoffs and has been suspended for game 5
You could definitely make a case for the Adams kick in the groin but not this incident. He clearly moved his hand up and swiped his groin. But it may very well have been unintentional in the sense that he walked over him and he happened to be standing above him at that very moment. Regardless, James clearly had zero reaction to it so clearly it caused him no pain or discomfort. In fact it seems he wasn't even aware that it happened until people pointed it out to him. James was initially only complaining about being called a b****. It's clear that this is a "make-up" call. In and of itself, it should have been a double-technical IMHO.
Seriously. For the people that believe the NBA is fixed this fits right into their narrative. Thunder up and could finish the Warriors...no suspension. Warriors up and could finish the Cavs...Suspension.
Can't really look at it that way. The league was consistent in both instances by issuing a flagrant. Only difference is this one took him over the limit for a suspension.
I'm confused. Which one is it? The league is in bed with LeBron or the league is in bed with GSW? I'm behind on all the crazy conspiracy theories.
Too little too late to punish this guy after the pass he was given in the OKC series. But it does give the Cavs hope to extend the series. If they win Game 5, they'd have to be slight favorites at home in Game 6. And anything can happen in a Game 7.
If he had received a flagrant 2 for that Adams kick then he would've been suspended then instead of now right? Then we wouldn't be in this situation. Anyways I don't think it should matter if Green connects on an obvious strike. Just because you miss you get away with it? A player should get a flagrant either way.
