All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PVP that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on Root Sports unless otherwise noted. 5-27 Mike Fiers, RHP vs. Matt Shoemaker, RHP 9:05 5-28 Dallas Keuchel vs. Jered Weaver, RHP 9:05 MLBN (out-of-market only) 5-29 Doug Fister, RHP vs. Nick Tropeano, RHP 2:35
there are no excuses for a saturday game being played at 9pm our time. hope we sweep them just for that alone.
Shoemaker and Weaver have been terrible and Nitro's peripherals suggest he is due for some regression. Offensively they don't have much after Trout, so for god's sake please don't let him beat us. Really need to take at least 2 of 3.
agree on all counts, though you could say the same about Fister's peripherals to a degree. That Sunday game seems even on paper, and Saturday depends on which Keuchel shows up
Let's go. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">If the Astros have any chance to turn around their season, now's their chance. Of their next 31 games, 24 are against teams below or at .500</p>— Jake Kaplan (@jakemkaplan) <a href="https://twitter.com/jakemkaplan/status/736225488830488577">May 27, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
20-11 seems probable given their sweep of the then first place Orioles and the pitching of our bullpen. Anything less than 18-13 should be seen as a big, big disappointment and a realization that this season is a lost cause. Mariners are playing solid ball this season, will take a good stretch to find them. All starts today, let's win game 1 and set the tone to win the series.
Remember when the Rockets didn't play any contending teams for the next 20+ games? Really, let's not worry about who we are playing, but rather focus on how we are playing. Our SP (minus Keuchel) and bullpen was pretty solid over the homestand. I think the offense still needs to get it going. Gattis and Valbuena have been hot, but we need Correa, man.
No one on this forum is on the team. Our focusing on the quality of the teams doesn't impact their day-to-day play. But I'll agree the Astros players and manager should be focusing on what you're saying
It's common practice on the west coast. Giants fans will have to watch their Memorial Day game against the Braves at 9:00 AM.
haha. I was wondering, what's the chances of someone trying to BUNT 4 times in a game & actually successful 1 time?
Agree I'm all for teams setting their own game times But there should be a few regulations for weekend games against teams in other time zones, even a 6:00 local time would put it at 8 here, much easier to deal with
Tonight and tomorrow's games are at 3am where I am. Can't believe a 9pm start puts you out so much lol
