Better that then what's happening to my Knicks with Melo. Can't win with him as the top dog anyway but no one wants to play with him and you don't have enough $$ to get other players.

Bring Nash back from the dead

He's the one that made D'antoni

Nic Batum: ultimate glue guy, high IQ, good defender, good 3rd scoring option, fair 3-pt. shooter-- our offense can really benefit from a good ball handler/passer on the wing, something lacking with Ariza.

Al Horford: can stretch to 3 pt. line, solid defender/shot blocker, also high IQ

Matthew Dellavedova: though Mike Conley would be the ideal and because PG options are limited, I think this would be a realistic option-- a tough defender, actually a good 3-pt. shooter, and plays with a lot of hustle, something the Rockets lack. Another FA option, Jarryd Bayless, was 5th in the league in 3pt% last year.

Bench 3&D player- Jared Dudley/Courtney Lee: both are high-energy and like to play fast-paced.

    Horford Capela
    Motiejunas Beasley
    Batum Ariza
    Harden Dudley/Lee
    Dellavedova Beverley

Lineup doesn't have big name players (other than Harden), but I think would work chemistry-wise. They all have low egos, and good guys to have in the locker room, considering last year's disaster. They wouldn't compete with Harden for the ball, while still being able to score if needed. Our shooting should improve (all starting 5 can shoot 3's) and having Batum as a second playmaker would help diversify our offense. Defense should be solid (if we can get a good defensive ast. coach). Ariza and Beverley slide down to, I believe, a more effective role off the bench. And Beasley being our 2nd go-to scoring option comes off the bench.

Why would any player come to the Leslie All Stars Exhibition Squad?

Lots of teams willing to spend max money these days. No reason to come get it here.

More likely come here, put up big numbers then get a max deal somewhere else.

Is Lin a free agent? Like it or not, he is a much better fit than Bev.

Not sure we should be interested in any free agents who are actually ok with playing on the same team as James Harden. We don't want anyone that stupid.

We gonna score 120 a game and watch for our defense to bc much like the WCF years defense. We gonna chase steals for fast breaks. so its 50/50 on if our defense will be good or not. On the plus side our offense will never be stagnantz that is the only thing i look forward to

    It's simple.

Rockets are filled with one way players.

Those players who playing defense do not fit with MDA.

Lin is a starting PG in the rockets next year, this is very likely going to be happened.

With the way the rockets organization treated Lin, there is no way he will come back. He fits better in Charlotte

Looking at SportVU Tracking. I was thinking the obvious D'Antoni stat to look at is Speed & Distance in order to look at some potential starters or role players for his 7 seconds or less system.

AVG Speed OFF - Surprisingly KJ, Bev, Goudelock are top 15 with Harrell(23), Brewer(33) and Capela(41), Beasley(47) coming in the top 50. DMO comes in at 54

(Quite a lot of former Rockets are in the top 50 and nearly all Warriors rotation in the list)
    Free Agents in top 50:
TR3Y Daniels comes in at #7
    Jeremy Lin is 50th.
Harrison Barnes comes in faster than Corey Brewer.
    Festus Ezeli
    Shaun Livingston
    Leandro Barbosa
    Courtney Lee
    Matt Barnes
    Kirk Hinrich

    AVG Speed DEF
Pat Bev and Corey Brewer come in at top 50 but no real targets for free agency

    AVG SPEED of all movements
BEV, BREW, KJ, TERRY, CLINT all come in top 50

(Same free agent's as above makes the list)

DIST. RUN in Miles or feet per game
The top 2 runners in the league are Portland's backcourt.
Courtney Lee comes in at #4
    Matt Barnes (Top 15)
    Loul Deng (Top 20)
DeMar DeRozan( comes in just ahead of Harden and Ariza)
    Evan Turner
Joe Johnson(comes in right ahead of Dwight)
    Harrison Barnes
    Marvin Williams
    Kent Bazemore
Al Horford(just in the top 50)

A lot of the Warriors players are some of the best runners in the league with the fewest minutes played compared to the other top runners.

This list shows we can grab some great role players off the bench(I'm sure everyone would like fan favorite Troy Daniels back) but the only real starters that could fit are DeMar DeRozan(cant shoot 3s) and Harrison Barnes(worth the max?). Jeremy Lin anyone? 3 of the better runners at PG? I'd imagine Sergio Llull would also be on this list if you actually watch his game footage, he's always running hard.

As i predicted, James Harden is a slow offensive player. If he isn't running it up...it kind of defeats the purpose..He's a very slow moving guy. He's not a high motor all out runner like Nash or even Curry or LeBron.

Maybe a trade for Dragic to help Miami clear space under the threshold to resign Whiteside.

May have to settle with possibly Ish Smith and/or Kendall Marshall. D'Antoni pushed the Sixers to trade for Ish last year and then played well. Marshall, also with the Sixers last year, played really well in his brief stint in LA under D'Antoni, though hasn't shown much lately.

    This.

D'Antoni and his mustache will convince Les that he can turn Harrison Barnes or some other mediocre young player into Shawn Marion or Amare Stoudemire.

Don't worry....I am sure they will let Daryl know before the press conference.

Sergio Llul wasn't great last year, but he is someone that I could see the Rockets target.
