35 wins +/- 4. Basically, I see the team striking out in free agency meaning the year becomes a de facto rebuilding year. Morey is good at maximizing a cap that limits everyone, but this year few teams will be limited. Essentially, I think every free agent that Morey (or Clutchfans targets) will get paid a lot more than Morey is willing to pay. Plus the only sell on the team right now would be Harden in a fun fast offense. It may appeal to some FA's, but not many. Also, only 2 WC teams look like that they could take a step back: Memphis and Dallas. And Dallas will be trying to bring in some big name Free Agents, and Memphis just needs to keep Conley and get healthy. On top of that, I could easily see Utah, New Orleans, or another young WC team putting things together and getting to .500 and a 7/8th seed.
Always difficult to predict but I'd say we at best get something like 45/37 If things get worse I'd say 35/47
btw, this team was in the WCFs just a season ago. This past season, and the moves made so far by the front office, have completely smashed that, regardless of whether it was "fools gold" of a season. SMH...
I would think in order to make a prediction it might behoove you to wait to see the roster at the beginning of the season (after FA, trades etc).
Roster will probably* change quite a bit between now and the start of next season. Will have to revisit this in September. *hopefully
