This has been attempted before. Multiple organizations have said let's pair MDA with a great defensive coach and it should work.

It's shocking to me that Les, as a successful 71 year old business man, doesn't understand organizational dynamics at its simplest levels. If MDA is hired as your head coach, and titled head coach, his personality and strengths will be what show.
