Westbrook forcing Curry to play defense? I thought Ty Lawson was going to do that.

Wow, is OKC going to be this year's NBA champs?

Yes, OKC did attack Curry on offense, but he has been terrible with the ball, made dumb decisions one after another. He got away with those passes in the regular season, but it costs GSW the games now.

They chose wisely, Westbrook is such a competitor - he still has to tone it down occasionally but OKC made the right choice in him over Harden.

I agree with that. They are taking away Curry feasting from moving around the court, by making him fight threw walls. That is not easy to do, because GSW looks for any type of overplaying Curry without the ball, by having screeners dive to the rim. OKC is defending those dives to the rim as well. Very impressive.

That play you mention is an example of help defenders knowing where curry is trying to run and simply moving into that path. Of course you have to have enough people on the weakside and the lane to do that

So to me, they aren't letting Curry roam, which takes him out of his game, and forcing him to score from strong side plays only.

Another extraordinary thing was seeing Adams guard the point a few times and Curry couldn't beat it. That's supposed to be a recipe for failure to switch a big on Curry in a PnR. But these weren't PnRs. Adams took him straight away

Anyone see those? I plan to re-watch those a little closer. Wasn't sure if they were planned defense. They were in the first half if I recall correctly. Could be a surprise-tactic way to play the PnR by just putting the big on Curry to begin with.

He tries to shake and bake with Adams and ibaka but they are just so athletic and disciplined. A swat or a block is usually coming.

Agree with Chuck in the post-game session: GSW should find a way to hide Curry on Roberson. Easier said than done, as Roberson and Westbrook can just do a PnR, forcing Curry to switch back. Regardless, OKC should be mindful that GS might switch up the matchups, and plan accordingly.

I think Curry has no problem in driving past Adams. But the weird thing is, it's like Curry lost confidence (or was gassed) in doing so, and either settled for lateral movements leading to bad jumpers, or passed to a teammate, taking himself out of the play.

That's one of the reasons I think Curry may have some kind of mobility issue. There isn't anyone in the NBA he can't shake one-on-one, especially bigs. Adams on Curry should be a disaster for OKC.

    Something may be amiss.

Sad thing is the Rockets have length, too bad they'd rather play Brewer at PF though...
