Yeah, why bother being the best athlete and building a brand to be the most profitable it can be. Moronic "try hard" should give up and lose out on millions of dollars.
This. I am not the biggest LeBron James fan, and I don't think Watt is quite to this level, but James is a remarkable business man, being the best on the court, he turned it into more money off. Does it effect his on the court prowess? No. So just leave Watt be and be glad he is on our team.
What is it with all the JJ Watt hate? I don't get it. Everybody's on social media nowadays. Why is Watt being singled out?
This is what this country does. They prop celebs up, and then they tear them down. At the end of the day who cares what people say about you!!!!
I don't mind other teams' fans hating. It's when our own do it that bothers me. we were booing curry when he suffered an injury and he's one of the most likable guys in the nba.
Friend of mine apparently talked to Bob McNair yesterday, who said JJ would be upset with the team if they didn't at least offer his brother a contract as an undrafted free agent.
I have a hard time believing that the owner of the team would offer up that information in casual conversation.
Watt sold it as a rustic back country hideaway. It turns out it is a huge custom home with every amenity imaginable. Watt is full of **** and keeps writing scripts around his life that are fake.
Is it odd that he hasn't tweeted anything in support of the picks? Not saying he's against them...but it's something you'd expect from him..
Most people who dislike him feel that he is being very inauthentic with the social media and publicity. That it is all an act in a reality TV sort of way. I don't follow social media, so I don't understand that reaction. I know some people make a big deal of him being single and not "settling down" which is also totally stupid to expect every 20 year old male with a busy work schedule is automatically gonna find something to settle down with. Instead he is supposed to find god or something? Last thing I've heard is people questioning if his teammate dislike him. They point out how he celebrates sack and plays "alone" and his demeanor and attitude to his teammates on the field. All of this is mainly because there is nothing about his game to really criticize, and he has no obvious character flaws (drugs, alcohol, & criminal record). I also suspect another undercurrent of those who dislike Watt, but that could lead really bad rabbit hole on a message board that I don't want to unleash.
putting this here because it's Watt's event and no where else to put it <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">.<a href="https://twitter.com/wilfork75">@wilfork75</a> with the stand up double. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Texans?src=hash">#Texans</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/JJCC2016?src=hash">#JJCC2016</a> <a href="https://t.co/7gQswl1IS0">pic.twitter.com/7gQswl1IS0</a></p>— PDS (@PatDStat) <a href="https://twitter.com/PatDStat/status/731643318493286400">May 15, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Now THIS is a uniform.<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/JJWCC2016?src=hash">#JJWCC2016</a> <a href="https://t.co/BfMkiyGk1z">pic.twitter.com/BfMkiyGk1z</a></p>— Houston Texans (@HoustonTexans) <a href="https://twitter.com/HoustonTexans/status/731655325535739904">May 15, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
