I feel slightly bad for him too, as it's college kids doing what college kids do. But if you consciously know that there is something out there that might implicate you on the most important day of your life, you need to take the proper precautions. He shouldn't have let people film him (if it's something negative), nor film himself, whatever the case may be. Stupid vids and pics are fine, after the ink is dry on the contract. But Tunsil should have been smarter than that. Curiously, where is Tunsil? In the green room of the draft? He's had no camera coverage at all.
Get over the social media aspect of it. The video was actually send to nfl teams a few hours before the draft by an anonymous source. There was nothing he could do to stop it
Then it's his own damn fault for the film in the first place. I think he'll go in the first round though.
Then that makes it even more heartbreaking for the kid. Whoever was out to get him literally cost him millions of dollars. Absolutely crushing.
Hugh Freeze: I do believe it was a long time ago and how it came out today, I don't understand and don't know how. He doesn't deny it, he owns it but it was not recent.
If I'm the Texans I am seriously trying to trade up. Tunsil is a franchise left tackle type that you normally need to be top 3 picks to get
If he gets past the Colts I think there's a good chance he's there at 22. Whether or not the Texans take him is another story. I don't think they touch him but I would pull the trigger
I find it strange that they're not directly interviewing Tunsil. I think it'd show maturity and "endear" him to the audience if he got the same questions Freeze got.
Have you never made a mistake? Have you never done something stupid? Now imagine that word of that gets out before the biggest day of your life... and you're completely blindsided. I guarantee you, Tunsil is not the only person in this draft (hell, not the only person in the NFL and ESPN broadcasting crew) to take a bong hit... in fact, probably others that have done it more recently than him.
Yeah it would show some character if he actually spoke up about it instead of directing everyone to his agent.
