The Astros have started their season a little better than those 1-5 Texans. FTM the Rockets started poorly as well. I sensing a trend here.
Rockets.. awesome season, finish 2nd in WC, add the one position they need (PG) = failed season at .500 and a first rd exit Astros.. barely lose in playoffs to eventual WS winners, close to favorite for this year WS, added the closer they needed and deep minors = 6-13 start, last in division Texans.. pull it together on strong defense to get to playoffs, beat colts at home, win division, then add MAIN position of problems, a QB........ = please don't continue the trend
Hell I've been trying not to think about this but hard not to see the trend. The Dynamo aren't having a fantastic season either so far. Please save us from this mediocrity TEXANS!!!
Wait, so you're wanting the Texans to save you from mediocrity? This is like wanting the Kardashians to save you from bad reality TV.
I will root for every Houston team until I'm six feet under but wonder at times why I involve my time and effort in sports.
Oh it's almost a guarantee you can take to the bank, that if a Houston team had some type of success one year and there is optimism for the next year, then they will have a disaster season of epic proportions the following one. I'm not surprised at all how the Astros season has gone done so far.
LOL. insert random Houston's hottest team of the month in that statement and there you go. It's like all of our professional teams are playing hot potato, no one can hold on to it for long.
I never understood this "woe is me" mentality Houston sports fans have. We have two of the best teams in sports and a promising qb. Fans are just spoiled.
The disappointment of almost winning a championship compared to the joy of winning many championships (boston) arent exactly the same. Granted I rather we always have a chance to compete rather than be bottom tier forever, it's not too much to ask for rings if we have the best teams.
I appreciate the Texans for being consistently mediocre so my bar of expectations isnt high to begin with. Can always count on my Texans to b mediocre and lose dem games by a td. U dont feel as frustrated and disappointed that we got shafted by the refs if the team always sucks to begin with.
Payback. Texans sacrificed their franchise quarterback's ACL so that the Astros could win the WS. Now the Astros lose 4 in a row so that the Texans can win 4 in a row. They gave up WS so Texans could make it to the super bowl lol.
