Exercising my inner Carl Herrera. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--wizards-offer-head-coaching-job-to-scott-brooks-213807080.html
So Washington, like ourselves think to stand a better chance of landing KD, Brooks is in part the key.
Have been saying this for two years, it makes a lot of sense. Wall+Beal+KD+? is an extremely nice core and can do damage in the East.
Do you not want a good coach? KD has a lot higher priorities than playing under Brooks again, idk why yall think this is the key to signing him.
I didn't believe it at first, but given that GSW looks to dominate the West for the next two or three years, it would make more sense for him to go out East. Lebron's getting older, and the rest of the East is full of good but not great teams like the Bulls or Raptors.
I don't think Brooks will be a factor if he does go home. I mean sure Durant hasn't said anything wrong about him, and recent comments make it sound like he didn't dislike him, but if Durant doesn't go home it'll be interesting to see how well he coaches. With the likes of Durant, Westbrook, and Harden on his team at one point... JBB would probably look good (as long as Brewer wasn't there to sub in )
Guys, the Rockets signing Bonehead as coach won't bring KD to Houston. This is pure fantasy. He's not coming here. Please take the Wizards job.
It seems to me that if KD wanted Brooks as his coach then he would still be his coach. I mean, are we to believe OKC made a coaching change with no input from KD? So I don't buy into the idea that Brooks will help bring in Durant.* *For that matter, I don't think Durant will go ANYWHERE until the offseason after this one. He has every incentive in the world to sign a one year deal in OKC.
I don't think Durant cares about Brooks or Washington. From what I've heard over the years. As for those incentives - I think they're overstated. I'm sure he can clear the salary difference in endorsements and/or endorsement bonuses. OKC is a bottom barrel market.
