Wow! I'm surprised that Ford is returning for the new Jones flick. There will have to be a young dude for the big action sequences, someone to possibly carry on the series in "reboot mode," while Indy plays the "old professor" at the university in the Denholm Elliott role after this first Disney film. That's how I would do it, anyway. Indy gets involved in adventure, protesting the whole time, like Sean Connery did so well, with Chris Pratt (a relative who's last name is, of course, Jones) or someone similar doing the heavy lifting. Having Spielberg direct should be a major plus, although he did direct that abomination, Crystal Skull. I'm excited, with appendages crossed that it's good. Great news, Clutch. -
I'll only watch if Shia returns. No George probably means no swinging monkeys and for sure no comedy Gopher. Shame.
I can't imagine them wanting to get involved with Shia again. Dude has an entire Home Depot of screws loose.
Maybe they'll try and do what they did with Star Wars...go back to a formula that works. Just Indy, a girl, Sallah helping out, and some generic bad guys (probably not Nazis...). Unfortunately Denholm Elliott isn't around any more, but they can find an old British replacement actor...I think Jim Broadbent was in Crystal Skull.
That's basically what the original script for Crystal Skull was until they screwed it up. Not too excited about this unless Ford has more of a supporting role. He just doesn't bring the same energy anymore.
They should kill him off. Hopefully, Marian is not in this one. She was so bad in the last one along with Shia.
No way. I liked him in the film dont get me wrong and he did fine, but his age did show in his performance. Nostalgia aside, the younger cast was a bit better.
No, but if we could travel back in time and buy the rights to Allen Quartermain from those Sabras and reincarnate Brittany Murphy for Sharon Stone's role, that'd be something. He wouldn't be bad in a Remo Williams reboot either.
Wow, this is bold. But the studios ain't gonna take that big of a gamble. Not too many people liked Temples of Doom except for myself. Spoiler
Just make it Harrison Ford's sendoff: cast Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake and call it "Indiana Jones and the Origin of Uncharted".
Can he even do anything besides lightly jog, by then? I'm hoping this will be a star vehicle for an up-and-coming actor. Otherwise, I'd rather not see an old Indy try to do young Indy things.
