Pretty remarkable move by Dwight. I've been wanting this for quite some time but can't believe Dwight actually did it. This make a pay-cut this summer 100x more likely.
Yup. I also remember Cyber reporting either in 2012 or 2013 (during one of HOU's Dwight pursuits) that he was considering it even then. The new stuff may have contributed and/or pushed him over the edge, but Dwight has had some concerns about Fegan for a while.

How? Just curious. Players don't just drop big name agents in a contract year unless something went wrong.
Nice, Fegan is a scumbag so good for Dwight. Don't think this affects things big picture that much though.
thx for the insight. I don't know anything about how you go about signing with someone else, but I'd assume the announcement of a new agent would be immediately forthcoming...otherwise it seems like Howard is putting a stop to something. I suppose cutting ties with Fegan now is to give a new agent time to prepare for free agency. But maybe not so much lead time is necessary, if he wants to stay with Houston. But, I must admit, I'm buying into a conspiracy theory that Fegan pissed him off with no real proof.
